Orlaith McAuliffe is by default my new whistle instructor. I first found a video of her when investigating higher quality Irish whistles and I'm constantly amazed at 1) her outstanding sense of musical expression, vitality and phrasing, 2) her total command of the flute and whistle. The music sails out of the instruments, and she has an amazingly developed precise control of notes at any speed. She hits each note and ornament so cleanly. The instrument sounds it's best too, when played with such care at the extremes of low notes, highest notes, loud, soft, whatever. Thanks for the instructions, Orlaith!
