    We are going into year 3 of homeschooling and have tried so many planners. This honestly is by far the best set up of everything! This might be just what I needed ❤️.

    Angie! Can we be friends!? We're doing HBL B and Science B too! Oh goodness this was so fun to watch! We LOVE the flex binder in our house. I'm getting things set up for our start at the first of August. My plan is to plan out six weeks at a time then take a short break to plan out the next six weeks. Ive pulled all the materials for each science project and put them in ziplock bags and put them in a shoebox size plastic bin for our first six weeks, so I absolutely love your idea for the timeline stickers! I always forget about those. It was fun to see Sonlights planning pages too! Yay! Planning videos give me so much motivation.

      Haha, I love how similar our homeschools are! Thank you for the science suggestion, I just bagged up the first 6 weeks of experiment materials - genius!!

    I did the same w/ Bookshark. Pulling out 6 weeks at a time. Makes it so much more manageable. I’m a huge fan of the flex binders. The sonlight planner looks great. Love the idea of putting planning pages for the 6 weeks in the same folder. Def stealing your idea of cutting out the timeline pics and separating them out. Love to hear more about your kids chores. I’m trying to focus on nailing down a good household schedule for cleaning and chores to make life easier.

    Yes, I would love to see your "planning days." Pre-cutting the timeline stickers is such a great idea 👍😃💡 Thank you

    We don’t use Sonlight but seeing how you put the historical figures in the pocket helped me figure out how to use the pocket in my flex binder for our curriculum!! I always love your videos. ❤️ thank you for making them!!

    Oh I absolutely love how this is set up. I went and spiral bound each subject individually but I like how this is even more streamlined than what I had going on. This seems much easier to take on the go if you decided to do school away from the house. now I have some thinking to do.

      I always think about spiral binding, I just can't bring myself to do it :)

      @@sciencemama well I did it, I unbound them and started a 6 week cycle in our flex binder and it is way more manageable!!! It’s a lot more portable as well. It was quite the stack of papers if I ever wanted to do school away from the house.
      I love how small my planner and my IG is now and it’s all in one zipper binder. Thanks so much for this video.

    Looks like you’ve got a great system set up! I use those binders, too. We use a completely different curriculum so my set up differs some. … I have been using a Passion Planner for 5 years and it is the perfect planner for me. I do not mix my homeschool planning with my personal planner. In my personal planner I simply mark off the block of time to represent school time. All details remain separate.

      I was thinking of buying a school planner so I can keep my private planner separate. I was thinking it would be too much but I guess its do able.

      @@laurenj.5312 For me, it’s working. This year will be my first full year with the system and I’m looking forward to having the school planner that I can store as a record of the year. One reason I think using 2 works for me is because I’ve always used a Jan-Dec for myself but prefer an Aug-Aug for school. I’ve been tempted to try fancy homeschool planners, but I don’t think I’d be successful when I am already so accustomed to the Passion Planner layout.

    Hi Angie, thanks for your video!!!! I’m using Bookshark this year and I love your organization! Could you show your kids binders? Do you divide by subject or by week? Tsk!!!

      I'm planning a video detailing my kids binders! But currently I have them sectioned out by subject ... like 6 weeks of math worksheet behind one tab!

    Hi. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Haven't heard about a flex binder before. What size flex binder did you get? Would you recommend that size for 3 kids lessons?

    • @sciencemama
      @sciencemama  2 года назад +1

      I'm pretty sure I just got the 1 inch binders ... it probably depends on how much you want to put in the binder. I currently have 6 weeks for 4 kids but my older two and younger two share a lot of their curriculum!
