I guess deep down, Kyaru (or Karyl as some others call her) really does care about her friends (even if she would deny it to herself countless times during this arc) and just wants to hang out have lovely adventures as much as Pecorine does, with people that actually care about her well-being, as much as she has horrible circumstances to deal with, I love this music in the sense that it was an expression of how she was very self-conflicted on, and felt really bad about what she's doing (especially during that time she was brainwashed) Man I would give her a hug just cause of how much difficult stuff she has to go through :(
Side note: I would also add that I used to have a friend who at that time had a very similar resemblance to Kyaru, especially when it came to loving cats and having a difficult childhood Interacting with her feels like interacting with a shadow that bears eerie resemblance to said friend that makes me feel and sympathize hard for her
This plays in main story 15-8 I think. If you let it auto-play, the melody of Connecting Happy enters at about the time Pecorine frees Kyaru from Kaiser.
Its pretty, colorful, polished. It has a similar formula to other games that auto battle with 5 characters. I don't know, I just feel like this game makes me WANT to care about the whole cast vs "Oh here's 8 free 5*s they don't really have any personailty or story but Ryujiin is crazy good in pvp so there's that." Or if you are thinking about the anime: It's like a Konosuba that progresses a story. Very funny with notes of seriousness. Silly/confusing plot points at times, but super high quality on the animation at random points.
