honestly 3 is one of the worst disgaea games in many disgaea players opinions. I rate 4 much much higher and cleaner game mechanics. 5 has the best game mechanics but story wise it falls a little behind 4.

Peter Nash gameplaywise I would say Disgaea d2 rivals 5 in many ways. Storywise my favorite is the 1st
Peter Nash Nah 2 is worst very predictable and 4 is much the same and 5 meh as well as d2 and 1 not interesting but the interactions is gold near 3
Leon Ridao 2 was the best for an early grind for me because of the Nekomata Trick.
