All credits belongs to the owner. Especially credited to @TSWtoday - televisiontim, dragonarchive, and some channel that I didn't remember where I taken the source from. Игры
I do miss this a lot, they even had "more localised" sections from cities within the region such as Truro etc. :)
The prolific and uber talented composer and musician, Ed Welch, produced the catchy theme tunes for Today and its successor, TSW Today. Westcountry took a long time to get into their stride after they took over the franchise. The pink and turquoise studio set looked vile.
The completely new studio set, titles and theme tune introduced during the Carlton era were arguably a marked improvement!
3:19 - The best titles of them all. The sax is so 90s! lol
A credit would’ve been nice for using my videos! - televisiontim
Westcountry seemed very polished but then again I appreciate Westward and TSW were different eras but TSW seemed the more friendly
Wow I remember this
Any idea what the first piece of music is called / anyone have a longer version. Was used by Anglia and Scottish TV also.
Alison Johns was a goddess 🎉
I remember being shown the Westcountry news studio whilst I was on a work experience placement in 1995. Alison Johns was at the desk waiting to go on air for an afternoon bulletin. I tried to say hello but she ignored me. By contrast, one of the other news presenters, John Andrews, was a very approachable and friendly chap.
@@georgeholland2934she probably said hello after the bulletin was finished
@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 She was not on air. I wouldn’t have been allowed into the studio during a transmission.
@@georgeholland2934 of course she wouldn't that's why i said waited until the bulletin was finished
