Andrew Bustamante has pointed out (in other platforms) that while Iran is often perceived as an oil-rich country, there are complexities involved. He emphasizes that the country's oil reserves are significant, but the economy faces challenges such as sanctions, mismanagement, and infrastructure issues that affect production and export capabilities. This can lead to a situation where, despite having oil resources, the economic benefits and stability are not fully realized. His insights aim to provide a more nuanced understanding of geopolitics and economic realities.

This guy knows nothing for real except for reading some Wikipedia articles and repeating the same. The crux of the matter is not Shia or Sunni, it's about hegemony. Iran wants to destabilise the monarchies in the gulf states, The gulf monarchies are troubled by them just as much as they are with the group Muslim Brotherhood which i think most Arab countries have on their ban list including the Egypt(run by a military leader), Syria(where a Shia is the President), Jordan (where a Sunni is the King). As for the cresent part, it's outdated philosophy. Iran already has established zones all across the Middle-East. Its goal is to surround the gulf states from North and East (Iraq and Bahrain), to South (Yemen). Also, in this whole episode, Gulf States are secretly backing Israel because, they all know that Iran is a Nuclear state and they don't have the military to match it as most of the soldiers in Gulf States are either of Sudanese/Somali or Pakistani origin and non-native. Kindly, invite people who know the ground reality and don't read articles from Wikipedia as a fact. This whole situation is way complex than those jargon words, the curly haired guest talked about. I wish him the best, may he return with more facts, someday, blessings.
This is a great comment. Far more insightful and factually accurate than the video. The situation is so much more complex than suggested in the video as is the whole “Sunni v. Shia” conflict. Religion may provide the cover and motivate the masses to go along, but the conflict is about power and the individuals who get to control it. The religious drama is just the opiate for the masses. Powers are aligning for the fight to come. Understand it, don’t ignore it.
@@The1DUIGuy thanks for the appreciation. Well, Iran has hitemen all over Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, they brutally have suppressed any dissent using them. It's ultimately a game of chess. Because, Lebanon is a country which is laced with corruption. Every group misuses the authority they possess and use it for their advantage under the disguise of religion/sect. Iran was once a very prosperous country. Persian literature, art, designs, poetry, are very respected in South Asia especially in India but then religious extremism is just suppressing their ancient culture for a colonial one(in case if you don't know Iranians mostly refrain from allowing the term Arab from being used over them as they actually were superior civilization, modern Arabs only have the petrodollar, barely any contribution to the world, until the discovery of oil, Gulf Arabs would consume locusts for sustainability. They were very poor. Also, the fact that the Supreme Leader of Iran has to be an Arab/as they should trace their lineage through the line of Ali and Fatima. So, this whole scam of Khamenei being a Sayyid, despite him being ethnically Azeri, is not acceptable to many educated Iranians. Whoever succeeds him will again have to prove that he is of a Sayyidic lineage, so, even if they are Kurdish/Lurs/Baloch, they have to forge it with an Arab lineage, automatically. So, imagine, the head of state of a Persian rival country always has to an Arab!! That's not cool to the educated Iranians. The guest on the show, might have a military background but everything he spoke was from Wikipedia articles that are outdated. The complexity of the matter is so much different than that "Crescent" these guys talk about sounding informed but know nothing for real is appalling. Did you notice that despite the whole assassination row of Israel vs Iranian leadership(Sulemani/Nasrallah/etc), the Iranian youth don't even post any remorse of sadness over it? The youth actually want an ouster of this regime so, they don't post anything against Israel at all. Meanwhile, Turks, Pakistanis, etc have this zeal over it, meanwhile their own minorities suffer!
Wrong! First of all, Iran became islamic in 1979 not in the 50s. The Shah of Iran ruled the country with the backing of US, UK and France. And in that time Iran was the richest and most powerful country in the middle east. Before the revolution the Shah finally went against US, UK and France when he said that he is going to nationalize the oil and created OPEC with other rich oil countries such as Saudi, Bahrain, Irak and so on. This was something the west could not accept so they backed Khomeini to take over and the revolution started and US started an alliance with Saudis instead. Khomeini took the power in a bloody revolution and he too stated that the oil belongs to Iran and again this was something the west could not accept so they started an economic sancntion which goes on till this day and they supported Saddam Hussein to invade Iran and the rest is history. My point is that Iran has a lot of oil and gas but due to the sanctions it can not sell as much oil as the saudis so their oil production is low for now.
Dude. A little less on the anti-west narrative. The Shah took refuge in the US and to this day the Crown Princess of Iran lives in the US with protected status. Perhaps the explanation is simpler and it is a simple matter of Iranian people making the wrong choice and ending up being an Islamic nightmarish state from which all developed people run away. Ending up in the west where they like
@@negy2570 First of all he lived in Paris and KLM flew him to Iran to take over the regime. There is pics and videos where he gets interviewed in the KLM plane. Also CIA has confirmed that they helped the students and protesters to overthrow the Shah. Khomeini made a deal with US and UK that he would sign a new oil agreement if he was in power (Which he refused to sign after he got the power, then US backed Saddam to invade Iran to overthrow Khomeini) The old agreement with the Shah was that the west earned 50% of all oil and gas resources in Iran. That deal was dued to come to an end by the end of 1979 and the Shah refused to renew it. He wanted a new deal where Iran kept much more and he was a driving member of OPEC by then. The Shah became a big threat for western interests at that time so they wanted him gone and they thought Khomeini could be controlled. They fucked up the whole middle east.

He didn't keep a lid on Iran, he was encouraged by US to try to take khuzestan (Arab majority oil rich) into Iraq. This was after 1979 revolution and after Iran nationalized their oil and didn't wanna give 85% of profits to BP anymore. Do some reading, saddam was simply doing US bidding. He just got canned because the zionist state didn't like a dictatorship with a military near it. Sadam wasn't tame enough.
he dug his own grave irrespective of there being WMD's. He lost the war with Iran, he invaded Kuwait, he also was funding terroist organisations around the middle east. His own people were terrorised by him and his kids, the Iranian people were dancing on the streets when Everyone invaded Iraq. He was done - he was going to lose his position one way or another. The Arab spring would have kicked things off in Iraq. The main reason is that the people in Iraq were more than happy to see him go. He had some of the people in the military on his side. But overall he had no one. I kid you not - in Kuwait during his planning and execution of the invasion of Kuwait. He had agreed with Arafat, the leader of the Palestinians at the time. That if his people, who were the majority in Kuwait worked with him during the invasion. He will add Kuwait as a state of Iraq, but make it a state governed by the Palestinians. My parents who were fleeing Kuwait on the day of the invasion. They said that the Palestinians wore blue uniforms and they were brutal. Kuwait kicked them all out after taking their country back. So this snipit of history is what then led to the destabilising of Lebanon and Jordan because these two countries did take Palestinians after they were kicked out.

The reason Iran got to be so dominant in middle east lately is technically US's fault. Israel warned against invading Iraq before that happened, they were afraid of the region destabilizing, their official position was neither for nor against the invasion, but they really warned this would screw up the whole region. Later Iran got a whole plethora of concessions from Obama administration despite Israel being strongly against it, both in terms of frozen funding and nuclear talks. Later when the Ukraine war started, the deal between Israel and Russia for Russia to keep Iran in check in the region, something the Russian were actually doing, went out the window. So yeah, Israel does expect the US to help fix this. Iran being this big of a problem is a doing by US.

It's a frustrating misconception that Saudi Arabia was somehow created by the British, but this couldn't be further from the truth. The story of Saudi Arabia is one of determination, struggle, and a deep-seated desire to unify the Arabian Peninsula a struggle that began long before the British even showed up on the scene. And in 1727, with the establishment of the First Saudi State under Imam Muhammad bin Saud, there was a clear goal to bring the Arabian Peninsula together and free it from Ottoman control ,whom were absolute savages taxing with no development or establishment of law. Over the years, we Saudis fought hard to gain control of our land. We took back the Hijaz multiple times, showing that our commitment to unification was not gonna stop . And let's not forget Najd it was never under foreign rule, standing as a stronghold of independence. Now, when people talk about King Abdulaziz Al Saud, there's this mistaken idea that his success was mainly due to British support. But here's the thing King Abdulaziz was already well on his way to unifying the region before the British even knocked on his door. His efforts to bring the peninsula together were already in motion, and by the time the British took notice, he had made significant progress. The idea that the British were the key to his success is just not accurate. In fact, if it weren’t for the British meddling in the region with their own interests in mind, Saudi Arabia could have expanded even more, possibly including areas like Jordan, Syria, and Iraq. The British had their geopolitical games to play, and their involvement often acted as a brake on Saudi expansion. So, to say that the British ‘created’ Saudi Arabia is not only wrong, but it also completely ignores the real story of a nation fighting for its own unity and independence and frankly quite prejudice. The reality is, the formation of Saudi Arabia was driven by the resilience and determination of the People of Arabia themselves. It was about reclaiming their land, unifying it, and keeping it out of foreign hands. That’s the real story here, not some narrative of British intervention

This guy knows nothing for real except for reading some Wikipedia articles and repeating the same.
The crux of the matter is not Shia or Sunni, it's about hegemony.
Iran wants to destabilise the monarchies in the gulf states,
The gulf monarchies are troubled by them just as much as they are with the group Muslim Brotherhood which i think most Arab countries have on their ban list including the Egypt(run by a military leader), Syria(where a Shia is the President), Jordan (where a Sunni is the King).
The Sunni groups feel marginalised as a result, Sunnis were secretly rejoicing when Nasrallah was taken off!
Lebanese Maronite Christians and Sunnis have felt like they have no voice with Shia nationalism, so, they are happy that Hezbollah is being reduced in numbers and power.
Because, they known how brutally mere street demonstrations by the youth was suppressed in Iran following Mahsa Amini's death.
Ending up in the west where they like
Remember, the US put the Shah in power. Then they abandoned him. Creating the destabilized middle east, the "strategy" for the next 40 years?
in what way did the west backed Khomeini?
what is the west anyway?
people in Iran were not happy with the Shah and I guess they're not happy now
@@negy2570 First of all he lived in Paris and KLM flew him to Iran to take over the regime. There is pics and videos where he gets interviewed in the KLM plane.

Khomeini made a deal with US and UK that he would sign a new oil agreement if he was in power (Which he refused to sign after he got the power, then US backed Saddam to invade Iran to overthrow Khomeini)
The old agreement with the Shah was that the west earned 50% of all oil and gas resources in Iran.

The players in the Middle East are in an endless conflict until there are no more players left.
Israel wanted the invasion of Iraq. They were the reason why the US did it.
This is so old. 4 weeks have passed, and many things are different, but Iran is still the problem.
You are 100% wrong about Iran having no influence. Look at our colleges and the protests in NY.
How could they have permits for the rallies and protests by October 8th when it takes weeks to file the necessary paperwork to get those permits and police presence.
The Saudi Royality ( established by UK ) is in political conflict with IRAN ,
If it is a sunni shi conflict then why there is sunni sunni conflict between KSA and Turkey, and if it was Shia Sunni conflict why no conflict during Persian Royalty dominance
It was always political
@@ABN_RUclips the Author and researcher Nasser Al Said who was assassinated by the Saudi Royalty throwing him off of a plane to the dessert exposed The Saudi Family in his book . A kingdom made on shed blood with support of Britin and it is not a secert in exchange to take over oil fields , destroy Ottomans , and create a strong Allies. A kingdom that seek unity will not go after and slaughter other muslim brotherhood while expanding in the name of islam whether inside the peninsula or even towards yemen and iraq.
@@ABN_RUclipsYou are correct. Even in the UK it’s well known that Abdulaziz unified and built the Saudi nation. The UK then arrived, assessed the situation and decided that Abdulaziz could help them fight the Ottomans. The Saud family also had some proficient English speakers early on which helped them build the relationship.
Except... the USA doesn't need mid-East oil and hasn't for some time.
usa stealing oil from Syria...
They are stealing the oil in Syria, there is gas for the coast in gaza, they want it all, or at least control it.
But the world depends upon Saudi oil. What would happen to the price of oil if Saudi totals were suddenly reduced or eliminated ?
Hamas & Hezbollah are in Venezuela and don't say they are not influencing america
What?! How? And why?
And it's only going to get worse is the long run
Greetings and blessings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
guess my social studies prof is a CIA plant as well, cuz I already heard all this in class.
Avoiding war is not isolationist. A nation can avoid war and have trading and traveling relationships with lots of other countries. That is not being isolationist!
Israel rules. The best country in the world. Best military. 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱
Free access to the best War Toys on the Planet at least for the next 5 -10 yrs. Thanks to the American Taxpayers. Sorry I don't drink your Kool -aid.
These two people are so ignorant about what is going on over there. Please do not take them as if they know what they are talking about. Israel does not need a US involvement in this war. The Israel military is the best trained and most experienced in the world. They have their own weapons for the most part, they will not can not be defeated. I don’t need an expert because I have the Bible.
Well said.
Man they need diapers.
The apex of his fame could be a Head & Shoulders commercial with Patrick and Troy
Stand with Israel.
The second the shooting stops , Netanyahu is done for as PM and politician. Might even get hauled to Court for his gross negligience for Oct 7th. So he will not stop for his own skin and survival. Genius
They’re also trying to build nuclear weapons, and they will use them, which makes them not just a regional threat, but a global one.
I want to think about this for a second. This just came to my mind. Why would the CIA let this guy tell people their secrets unless the CIA was paying him to tell the “secrets” that they want people to know
If you’re a spy then Garand Thumb is a real military operator
With all the respect that Andrew deserves, he is underestimating Iran's influence in latin America, Venezuela in specific. People are being converted to Islam, tons of radical middle easterns are moving there and even military troops are operating inside Venezuela. There influence is growing and if it not stopped, in 20 years that "Shia Crescent" will be rigth on the US backyard.
Lol Iran doesn’t care about islam
“I’m from the CIA, you can trust me, brah”
History shat on these 2.
nice breakdown, enlightening😮😮
Iran is totally fair territory for any attack.
Interesting. Very interesting.
I googled Saudi food imports: ”Saudi Arabia imports Foodstuffs primarily from: United Arab Emirates ($1.05B), Brazil ($639M), India ($466M), United States ($426M), and Netherlands ($399M). The fastest growing import markets in Foodstuffs for Saudi Arabia between 2021 and 2022 were United Arab Emirates ($277M), Kuwait ($177M), and Argentina ($104M)”
It is amazing when people who have no knowledge of the Hebrew scripture try and explain what is going on with Israel
@Andrew, what’s your take on why this type of information/education isn’t provided to Americans? Whether in school or media? There has to be a bigger mission by some group of people to keep this type of global reality a secret, or at least not loudly provided so we understand the world outside the US.
Looool this funny i came to comment when i heard coffee and dates
If you like to see people who talk a lot about things they don't know, please watch this video.
Watching from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬
Ain’t nobody asking CIA for clarity on the situation..!
Excellent
very well explained 🙌🏼💯
How would you stop missiles from coming into Israel??
The 1st sentence out, at the beginning of this video SHOULD BE:
OCT 7,2023. Crazy tunnel. HOW LONG DID IT TAKE, TO SET OCT 7TH THE ATTCK DATE.
"We're ready to attack, everything's in place. What day??
Exactly how long did it take to GET READY?
Very interesting Andrew B.
Good Job Mr.Bustamante, i like listening to your opinions as they are pragmatic and stick to the political reality.
Keep going and don't let this propagantistic trolls in the comments get in your way. 🙏🏼
Luckily for the military-industrial complex war is never ending by design.
Welp Turns out you were Spot on. 10/11
Not true. The Middle East isnt all desert. There's something called the fertile Crescent. All of the Northwestern part of the Middle East is fertile. If you look on the map, you'll see this green Crescent on the northern part of the Middle East, stretching to the Mediterranean. And the actual breadbasket of the Middle East is Egypt, not Iran. And neuron isn't even considered the Middle East. I'm just saying I'm from there. I lived there.
I believe that Ronald Regan said it best: we can have peace this instant if we surrender.
So in regards to the comment of Israel prolonging the war, well you can have peace if they just surrender.
Not hard to see why this guy is ex cia
Sorry ,ypur shia theory is flawed...why did amer.put shia in power in iraq??? Why did they also tease or promise kurds . ?? And dont forget the first zionizt jewz in occupied paztine were iranian jewz who are the richest in the world ...having amer,u.k.,izreal and irNian citizenship??? And many " converted jewz" in iran are in govt...lol
But Iran has proxy operations in at least 3 countries in Latin America and sleeper cells across the globe, who are trained to go to the spectrum from a lone wolf attacks up to full size attacks, with potential threat to the US.
This is a good example of who were your mentors.
The armchair foreign analysts in this chat 😂
at 7:00 I thought there was a fly in my ear 😅
lol imagine admitting iran is funding militant proxies but still blaming israel for defending themselves via counter strike
Thick and dense you are.
Great mix of truths and conspiracy theories. Makes a great movie with Tom Cruise.
I've been trying to tell people this day was coming for twenty years.
