    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
John McCabe (Warren Beatty) is caught off guard with the arrival of Constance Miller (Julie Christie) and her whores.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
Memorably described by Pauline Kael as "a beautiful pipe dream of a movie," Robert Altman's McCabe & Mrs. Miller reimagines the American West as a muddy frontier filled with hustlers, opportunists, and corporate sharks -- a turn-of-the-century model for a 1971 America mired in violence and lies. John McCabe (Warren Beatty) wanders into the turn-of-the-century wilderness village known as Presbyterian Church, with vague plans of parlaying his gambling winnings into establishing a fancy casino-brothel

One of my favorite movie, everything about this movie is top class, the cast, the extras actually build the town during the shooting of this movie, you can see the sequence as the story goes along, Beatty and Julie Christie are just perfect, the atmosphere of the town is reminiscent of pioneer days, you can just about smell the back-streets, the dancing on the ice, the snow falling on the stench and the church being build, the brothel in all its 'glory', and even the killers are believable, but the real treat is the songs of Leonard Cohen... Enjoy if you can !

Love this movie! Both Warren Beatty and Julie Christie were unbelievable in the starring roles! Supporting cast was outstanding... In my opinion, the BEST of the 'Beatty-Christie' films.

They should've done more movies! Maybe then they could've become like Tracy and Hepburn or Boggie and Bacall, as Warren had expected

Jarred Knox eh well clearly your in the minority because this film is a masterpiece while Shampoo has been forgotten unless your a fan of either of the leads, read Ebert’s article review on McCabe and Mrs. Miller and then watch it again but if that doesn’t work to each their own
