Regarding the fog of war, SC2's unit path routing works based on the information that you have as a player, rather than the actual state of the map. So if someone mines it out, your probe will move as if it isn't mined out, until you reveal the fog of war and gain new information about the state of the minerals.
Care to explain why workers will ignore the main ramp with an unscouted full wall off then?

I agree with the sentiment of if it is in the current patch it still can be worth viewing. Even some pre-current-patch vids would be nice at times to show differences that the patch caused. Like go back and watch a game with significant Cyclones from the previous patch and have a new patch game with Cyclones to compare their performance and costs.

I'd say it's relevant as long as it's the same patch too. Time only means that more of less people got the time to see the replay already by themselves or through a different caster :D
Love that we're getting so many Dark casts, he has the most entertaining playstyle... cause you just never know what he'll do. Out of units? Just mind-control your opponents!
I just enjoy the videos so as long as it's on the current patch and not a repeat.

I used to get my audio reset aswell. Not sure if this will help, but what i ended up doing to avoid that is disable the devices i dont use so it cannot change from them 😃
The reason the switching happens is that Windows switches devices to the last thing you plugged in, so if one device takes a variable amount of time to initialise you can end up with a semi-random choice of audio device when you boot up. Disabling the device forces the UPnP subsystem to just not load a driver for it, so you won't have that issue. Although I think this is separate to what Lowko was describing, which was the volume level being adjusted after a reboot.

On my regards, as long as the game is fun, it's cool to cast it, even if it's from Wings of Liberty, SPECIALLY if it's from Wings of Liberty

I feel like when you cast a game like this, you need to also show what's happening on the other side as well. Like during the first game at the end while the main army fight, I think there wan a baneling or zerg attack in the 4th base.
Honestly, you are my only source of sc2... i wouldn't even know an update came out unless you released a video saying so. As long as you are making videos in an order that makes sense, i dont care. Ill watch them all anyways.
Hi lowko, I don’t know who these people are who require the matches to be “recent’. I for one do not care if they are recent or not, as long as they are great matches with good commentaries! Your input had always been much appreciated as we can learn a lot about the game as we watch.
As long as its on the same patch its good by me, it gives you a chance to talk about how the meta is changing and has adapted so its nice.
Keep bringing us the best games! Yes I mainly care that it's on the latest patch. Secondary is trying to do games of serious tournaments (whose results are easily known in the SC2 community) more like within a couple weeks. Regardless, you're an artist and great creator, you do you Lowko!
As long as it is *SC2* without BS mods, bots or bronze league. I'll be happy with new vids.
In regards to the into, I routinely watch games from any time, even some from previous patches. The way I see it, great games are always relevant

I try to keep up, but the same patch is usually good enough because the meta changes woth the patches.

I think it’s absolutely fine to cast games 2 or 3 weeks old so long as you, as the expert caster, makes apparent to the viewer, and contextualises, the different ebbs and flows in strategies and build orders. Which you always do anyway 😊
That newest Windows update messed with my audio to. Was a bit annoying...

Most of us have said this since Wings of Liberty. Zerg would be balanced with Immortals. Hopefully in the next update we get them.

Good Starcraft 2 is always relevant. When I first found the channel 1 video a day wasnt enough I just started going backwards and ended up about a year back!
For normal people Id say current patch is the most relevant

I'm starting to lose respect for astrea. This quick 3rd is just hoping the opponent will not scout. It's like saying, i can't fight you hand to hand but i will make some sneaky tricks that will put me in great advantage without working so hard

This is a prime example of the NEED for Protoss to have Corsairs replacing Pheonix and Disruptors replaced by Reavers!! This would solve the glaring issues that we saw in this game!

@@kanzakierika1428 i would actually just had them and replace Broodlords by Guardians. But there is a NEED to make fungal growth (and psy storm) not hit AIR same goes for neuro parasite!
