It's cool that Japan got the Hilux. It'd be nice to see them also have the Nissan Navara, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton and the Isuzu D-Max.

If Toyota could sell the Hilux here in North America, Americans would gobble it up & completely eat up the small truck market from the Detroit big 3. So what they do? Instead of building better trucks, they slap a gigantic tax on imports, which forces Toyota instead to make the cheaper & worse Tacoma for our market. What a shame...

Most heavy duty or above 3T vehicle is power off by diesel driven engine. Why? unless ur country petrol is cheaper as those middle east country.

we love CARS Yeah, the new Fortuner which is the SUV version of Hilux got the same problem with this new Hilux as well. They're not as spacious as their predecessors in terms of cabin space

tms It's the same with the one that is available in Indonesia. The only difference is the features which I think is more complete for Japanese Market and the front bumper is added with some accessories that you can find as an aftermarket parts in Indonesia. (Itu bumper dan aksesoris tambahan hrsnya sih bisa dicari lah. Klo soal beberapa fitur khusus lain, ya agak susah sih. Tau sendiri lah Toyota Indonesia seperti apa hahaha. Tp, seharusnya sih sama kyk yg di Indonesia )

Yeah, hilux isn't fuel efficient enough. Hilux focuses on more torque and additional power. -driving a 4x2 hilux 2018/19 G here. Not good for mountainous long drive. The safety feature like traction/skid control is only available in a 4x4. One of the safety hazard too is that silver cover on the dashboard once it get hit by sunlight, it glows and reflects directly to the driver and passenger. Overall, the car is beautiful by design but lacks additional safety and fuel efficiency.
