What are your thoughts on Dupes? Because of demand, I feel like most things are duplicated to supply that demand and to make things affordable. Think about generic drugs and products…they are dupes of the brand, right? *Rabbit Hole* 😂 Do you have any handbag dupes and what is it a dupe of? Thanks for watching!
@@littlebitofluxindeed they do! I worked in a pharmacy for years and one of the main questions patients would ask was “is there a generic?! when is the generic coming out?!” because it was more affordable and their copay would be so much cheaper 😂 it’s literally everywhere. Thanks for watching.
This was a super informative video Sabrina. Not everyone can afford Louis Vuitton or YSL or Chanel. And there are so many designers that offer beautiful luxury bags at a fraction of the price. People should really look into alternatives if they can’t afford to buy or simply don’t want to spend thousands on a bag. Really informative. ❤
I love originals. I love dupes. The point you made about everyone buying dupes in other categories was spot on. Hefty didn't invent plastic plates, and neither did Sam's Members Mark...we buy both. I draw the line at Replicas.
Exactly. One thing spins off another and that's the only way everyone is supplied what is demanded. It's kind of inevitable. I respect your stance on replicas. I do not like that replicas can deceive people into spending thousands because they think they are something else. Thank you for watching!
Great handbag dupes. Its each to their own. I love the beri dupe, it's so cute. Is it easy to open & close whilst carrying it? I have several of the duyp mini boston bags, I'm waiting on the burgundy to come back in stock too. Such a great little bag. Tfs ❤️❤️
@@nb_276 thank you for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate the interaction. It’s easy to open and close. I usually wear both the Bèri and dupes both crossbody. The dupe magnets are strong which I appreciate too. I was not as crazy about the Numero neuf dupe and it didn’t make the cut for this video. Thanks for watching!
You made several wonderful points in this video! Managing expectations when purchasing dupes is important for sure! I also agree that many brands grab influence from the luxury fashion houses. I am of the philosophy that to each is own. Love some of the options you shared as well for silhouettes I’m just not ready to make the luxury price for. 🤍
Loved this video. The larger fashion houses also create dupes of other brand’s designs and visa versa. I really love the Coach hobo you showed at the end. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for doing this video! Dupes can be a great way to get similar looks at a more affordable price, and you have some amazing pieces in your collection! 😍

The Polene bag and the dupes are adorable. 🥰 Excellent points.” “Manage your expectations.” I have a Tiffany and Fred Valentino dupe in my collection too. The s lock on the Paris 15 looks more edgy than the turn lock on the Coach Cassie.
@@contentwithcandace thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts, Candace. It does look more edgy and that’s why I sold my Cassie twice. However, I still love the Cassie 19. I’ll always have one of those. 😁
Nothing wrong with dupes. It all depends on personal preference and finances. I have a Tory Burch Kira bag which is comparable to the YSL Loulou minus the price tag. Plus, several of the DUYP bags. 🙂
Same here 🙂Tory Burch was my starting point to get the YSL look and I still love that Tory Burch style. I like to have options. Thank you for watching!
You made a really good point about dupes being everywhere. I have never applied this concept to anything else outside fashion. Great video, I love dupes as well.
I love this video! It’s like buying Equate Ibuprofen instead of Advil or buying Shasta Cola instead of Coca Cola there might be a slight difference but it has the same effect lol💗
I am so glad I watched your video! I had never heard of Polene bags before but I just fell in love with your beri bag. They are sold out in the color I like so I'm going to go ahead and get that dupe you recommended on Amazon. It looks so similar to the real thing. I'm so excited! Thank you!! 😊 By the way my daughters name is Sabrina too. 😁
It does look very similar. I bought a red one for my mom and pink one for my sister for Christmas and they love theirs. (they are not handbag fanatics like me though). Thank you for watching. I think you picked a wonderful name for your daughter 😀
I have zero issue with dupes. Fashion wouldn't exist without dupes, the majority of people can't afford designer brands but want to be stylish. Excellent point too on how many things are dupes! RE: the pochette metis was not first, none of these bags were. Etienne Aigner years ago (early 2000s) had a bag with this design! I had one, that's how I know. And I am shocked at some of the hate I've seen recently in regards to DUYP and their bags, I bought a Paris 15 and I thought the quality was fantastic. Go figure.
Oh yes, Etienne Aigner bags. The symbol/logo came right up in my mind. You're right. Everyone is inspired by everyone. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
How do you feel about the chocolate color on the Paris 15? I love the color chocolate but that one seems to have a hint of red in it, unsure of how I feel about it.
@@khrisfrank great question. I did expect the Chocolate to be a darker brown like the background of the pochette Métis I put it next to. It does have a red undertone. I just uploaded a short video of it beside some burgundy slgs. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
I have the same question! I’ve been waiting for more videos on it bc I’m very interested in the brown but don’t love that it has a hint of red. I have the oxblood Cassie and I’m afraid it’s similar
@ it definitely has some red in it but because it’s called Chocolate Brown, that may be why 🍫 I think I have a Coach Dreamer in Oxblood. I’ll take a side by side picture for you.
Hi. What I can fit into the Paris15, I can fit into the mini Boston. Your items will just be positioned differently because they are shaped very differently. To fit the most into the Boston, don’t use the organizer that comes with it.
I have 4 of the DUYP, 2 of petite Paris 15 and 2 of bigger size and even thought the leather and stitching is nice, what bothers me a lot is the fact that the glue or whatever they use to put the bags together…has the strongest and lasting chemical smell that it completely overwhelms and leather smell. I contacted DUYP and they offered no useful info. I hope it does not take a year for it to go away. I don’t think I will buy anymore of these because of this. The SLGs from DUYP do not have this smell and it may be that there is mostly stitching and not glue to make the items.
Are your Paris15s the new version? I have been meaning to ask Mèlodie about the scent on one of the latest bags I received. It is a different smell and I thought maybe it was the new leather fiber. I always have loved how every last one of my bags smelled, especially the Josette. I wear perfume that smells like leather (Ombré Leather) so I'm probably not as sensitive to the scent as others. I would recommend keeping them stored out of the dust bags for a while to air out.
