    Thanks for this. The quality, explanation, and content of your review does not match the sub count. Keep it going. Subscribed.

      Thank you! That means a lot. I actually just used them on a small budget film, they're quite handy. I hope to get back to creating content for this channel in a couple of weeks, so I appreciate the sub :)

    It's build quality is definitely impressive. Nice Aluminium housing...
    Anyway, how much is the expected lamp life? Does it have around 50,000 hours?
    If so, it's gotta be the next addition to my studio!

      @TheNerdyFilmmaker  2 года назад

      Great question! I actually can't find any reference to the lamp life online. An uneducated guess is that with a panel like this, the electronics would go before the individual LEDs. But so far I can't find any reports like that. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

    Awesome review….I’ve just purchased the 660 Pro 2…..waiting for them to be delivered, I was mainly going to use them for some RUclips videos in a small studio & maybe occasionally at small lobby/ restaurant style gigs, would these be ok for a live performance just to give me some ambience?
    Do you think they maybe fixed some of the small issues you mentioned on the Pro 2 version?
    Thanks 🇦🇺

      Heyo! Thanks so much for that :)
      Honestly I didn't even know they came out with a Pro 2, and I cant seem to find any decently made reviews lol. So it's a bit unclear what's new. Unsure about the colour accuracy, but if they made the diffusion stronger than the one you see in my review, hopefully it fixed that jagged edge problem. Which anyway, is something that doesnt really interfere with my more interviewy setups, since I dont see the wall in-camera that the light is splashing on if I'm using it to light a subject.
      Would it add ambient light? Depends on the how large the space is, and the exposure you have your camera at. If you're fighting stage lights which are usually pretty bright, may be hard. But if you're using both and doubling the light in a smaller room, maybe? But I think it'd be perfect for your lobby gigs for your subjects, and your resto gigs for your subject or background lights (if you're not fighting sunlight).
      Anyway, hope you enjoy em! And here's hoping Neewer randomly decides to send me the Pro 2's to review...

      Hey thanks for your reply, hopefully Neewer will send you some of the updated pro 2 version & you can do one of your awesome reviews on them, after watching your review on this modal I was sold on these, they seem a decent package for the price as you get the full set up!!
      Cheers

    Nice video- well done! Question... one the effects, it looks like there are 2 channels for EACH effect, and not just one. Is that the case, because i didn't see you switch the the second channel on any of them. Just curious.

    • @TheNerdyFilmmaker
      @TheNerdyFilmmaker  2 года назад +1

      Hey thanks so much! Those 1 & 2 at the bottom of the app are two saved settings that you can quickly switch between. So like, you can set 1 to a regular “lamp” light, and then quickly switch to the second saved setting which could be an effect or a second cct setting.

    What are the flaps used for?
    I know that using mount box and using a honeycomb so that you only light the subject and not the background. Is this what the flaps are used for??? Thanks for your time.

    • @TheNerdyFilmmaker
      @TheNerdyFilmmaker  Год назад +1

      Heyooo! They’re called Barn Doors. And they are used to cut where the light goes. So let’s say I wanted it to light my face and not the background, or to light my face and not as much on my body, you can move those to block the light source. So like a honeycomb in a way, but more customizable. These kinds of lights don’t generally have honeycomb attachments. Hope that helps!

      @@TheNerdyFilmmaker awesome, hank you for your time.......would you recommend the that or the mount box of or video content Eg. Podcasting etc or is that a personal preference?
      Cheers

    • @TheNerdyFilmmaker
      @TheNerdyFilmmaker  Год назад +1

      @@truthunleashed5250 by mount box I assume you’re talking about soft boxes? Totally up to preference. These panels are smaller, which means they’re easier to store and maneuver, but also less soft than a large soft box. For my podcast, I use an umbrella over head. I’ve got a video on my podcast setup if you’d like to see!
      But yea, personal preference and budget are really what should help you on your decision.

    How long does the battery last on a full charge?

    • @TheNerdyFilmmaker
      @TheNerdyFilmmaker  2 года назад

      While I havent run an actual time test, I do know that with 2 8800mh batteries, I got to about 4-4.5 hours of 100% power before I noticed it running very low and switching them out. My batteries are 8800mAh. I've seen other reviewers get ~5-5.5hours when running 9800mAh batteries, depending on which mode (4400k takes the most power because all LEDs are on at full blast). Hope that helps!

    Can you use them outdoors?

    • @TheNerdyFilmmaker
      @TheNerdyFilmmaker  2 года назад +1

      I wouldn’t say they’re bright enough to compete with direct sunlight. But in darker conditions for closeups / some spots on the background, throw a couple batteries on there and you’re good. Doubt they’re rain resistant tho

    • @TheNerdyFilmmaker

      I think it was literally just called Neewer. Which is confusing cause now that I check, Neewer also has "NEEWER Master" and "NEEWER Hub". Not quite sure what those are... I'll need to check em out soon.
