Good video! Shows off the product nicely. Didn't know the vents could move that much air. From a post production standpoint, if you did an updated video in the future I'd add in an on screen timer in the corner so you can see elapsed time, I think viewers would appreciate it.
I will likely need to order a set of these in the summer. Our storage sea can get super hot in the summer and we have a couple solar batteries in it I dont want to cook. Looks like exactly what I need.
If you want to install the Solar roof vent kit that comes with 2 Big Air 45 vents on a 20' container Would the 2 Big Air 45's be enough? Would you put them both low? Or one high and one low? Would you have them both on the same side wall? Would you put them as far from the roof vent as possible?
Hey, we live in Ireland and looking at getting a 40ft container for storing our household items (furniture/clothes/everything) as we are doing a big remodel. Its so wet in Ireland and i'm concerned about the contents getting destroyed, would you recommend vents as well as insulation?
Vents will make the humidity inside be similar to the humidity outside. Insulation will only help if you don't ventilate and install a mini split to control the humidity inside. This is an awesome option if you can afford it. Use 2lb closed cell spray foam. Make sure you install strut channel prior spray foaming so you can still attach things to your walls. CSM or MSS brackets avoid any welding.
I have 12 mitter container shop and I am using it as tuckshop during summer it's very hot and where I am staying during summer the temperature can rich 35 digree centegrade so what can I use or what can you advise me?
We are doing a refer container home in Costa Rica and looking for ventilation options. We will be rotating 3 months there 3 months and back in the states, so for two 3 months periods per year the containers will be closed up. Without a good solution we could end up with mold problems. Not sure these would solve the issue by themselves. Any suggestions???
An ERV is your safest bet to exchange air and manage humidity. amzn.to/3iCkJf8 or amzn.to/3gVXYT2 Could hook it up to a couple AC Infinity 6 in duct fans and use their temp/humidity controller. One controller can run up to 4 fans. amzn.to/3uqBhK2 Panasonic has a stand alone ERV which look pretty cool. They don't work in Canada (need HRVs in cold climates) so I've never tested one. I have their whisper warm bathroom fan in my house and it's a great product. amzn.to/3OXAWb8
Greatly appreciate the reply. Looks like the stand alone version is what we are looking for since we are located at an altitude where we don't need heat or AC. The link says it will do a whole house, but I will have to do some more research. Thanks for pointing us in a direction to start!
I lived in Arizona for 15 years with swamp cooling and OCD so I have a finite understanding of ventilation. Birds, rodents and bugs could get in and your venting system would actually cause any fire to burn faster and allot hotter, you basically made a mass crematorium. xD
1. I'd love to see a bird, rodent, or even a bug get through the bug screen. amzn.to/3OBrtGd 2. You should not have open flames in your storage container.

Good explanation
How well do they hold up in snowy environments say during winter in northern Wisconsin?

Why didn't you with an orange smoke? 😅

Insulation and A/C
Mini Split Heat Pump is best for air conditioning.
Are vents a good idea for the shower and kitchen even when using closed seal spray foam?
You should have controlled ventilation (fans), not passive ventilation.
@@TheContainerGuyTV thank you for your reply. Any suggestions for specific units? Does your company supply any of the recommended units?

What kind of ventilation do you recommend for a 40 foot container turned into a mini home? thx for your input

Good to consider fire. How does swamp cooling work with OCD. ✌🏻

@The Container Guy Rats tunnel under the ground. They will chew threw concrete and 1/4" steel.
not a fan of that modification. you would be better off installing a exhaust fan with backdraft damper hooked up to smoke detectors
