2024 Whelan Award - Joe Curtin

Joseph Curtin ’24 received the Rev. James H. Whelan Award, one of Catholic Central’s most prestigious honors, for his academic excellence, athletic achievements, and exemplary character.
As a member of the hockey program, he earned multiple varsity letters, served as a senior captain, and received All-Catholic and All-State Dream Team honors, leading his team to CHSL, Regional, and State Championships in his junior and senior years.
He was also a standout in lacrosse, earning multiple varsity letters, serving as senior captain, and receiving All-League and All-State honors, leading his team to CHSL and Regional Championships and winning the 2024 State Championship.
Graduating with a 3.35 GPA, Joe is continuing his academic and athletic career with the Stratford Warriors in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL).
