    This is one of the best demos I've seen for the TA-15. Great stuff.

    this is the most versatile amp in the world, i dont understand why mesa stop building this model, i own one and it cover all my needs, vox, fender and marshall sounds in one small box, its a miracle

    Mick is a fantastic reviewer, very clear and thorough run through the sounds, beyond excellent playing and tone. This amp sounds incredible!

    Watching this nearly ten years later after scoring a used TA-30. I'm going to use it for a "take in the overhead bin" fly gig amp. Good demo by Mick the Younger™.

    i have this amp, and for me the only pedal you need to get a little mire dirt in ALL chanels is any ts8 type overdrive, in my case i use the T Rex Alberta and it works beatiful with all chanels

    Excellent demo video! I own this amp and can say this video is a fair representation of the amplifier. Of course it sounds even better in person but for a YT vid this one does the amp justice. Also some sweet playing.

      KassperT can it do high gain well?

    • @Sparky6string

      On it's own it can do some Marshally type medium gain, and some Boogie style med gain but combine it with even just a clean boost and it will go higher, and sweeter. If you're talking modern style then it will do it with pedals, and rather well I'd imagine. It takes pedals really really well, and the cleans have excellent lows which are tight as well- probably good for that kind of distortion pedal.

    So it goes 25w, to 15, to 5?

    how can a 15 watt amp sound like. Does that mean the 30 watt one is out of this world because that sounds amazing

    • @tiktaktrack
      @tiktaktrack 9 лет назад +1

      15 watt class A mode is different than the class A/B or other modes, it works different and delivers more power and dynamics.By the way the difference in db between 10Watt and 100Watt (sound pressure-thats what your ear hear) is about 5 db or so if I remember correctly.

      The amount of watts has nothing to do with the quality.

      Doctor Who Fan Hi Doctor, it can be true but most of the time not! A loud amp can sound very good indeed but the quality of the sound is limited and goes to certain level. There are amps made to be loud and amps made where tone is everything! One of them which belongs to this list is The Tone King Imperial which is only 20 watts or so. If this amp was built in a 100 watt version (or more) is not going to sound the same or that good. You can't have it all!. The Vox AC 30 is only 30 watts everybody use this version, Vox has a 100 Watt version allso why nobody use it?Simply because it sounds different (read less good). I can go on and on and it is always the same Fender amps the same thing (Fender has amps of 100 to probably 300 wats or so you will see these on a concert in a big stadium or so but never in a recording studio where everything is about tone). Why Stevie Ray Vaughan used the Fender Vibrolux which is something like 40 watt or so? couldn't he buy a 300 watt amp? Because it sounds that good. So if you don't know about amps dont tell things which are wrong pleasse.

      There are amps of every wattage that sound great: 5 watt Champs, 85 watt Twin Reverbs, even 200 watt Marshall Majors (which SRV used, by the way). You act like 30-40 watts is some magic number that automatically gives great tone. It's not. Don't call someone ignorant when you're ignorant yourself.

      Doctor Who Fan I promised my self that I am not going to answer on stupid comments like this, but yeah this is really the last time it is just waste of time. I have 35 guitar amps and 114 guitars. 3 of the amps are Marshall, one of them is the big shit 100 watt head from the '70s . A lot of people pay something like € 1500 for the shit. I am selling the thing because it has nothing to do with good sound, the only thing it does is: play loud, play loud. play loud......IT IS ONLY GOOD FOR A STADIUM......I DID NOT CALL YOU IGNORANT read my comment. You are rude too.
