(needed to do it once, security got there 2 times, party dident stop, and was 3-4 in the morning at that time) i dont call security when the time hits on the dot i give people like 30 min then if someone on the same floor im living in i knock on the door. but if people refuses to stopp the party? i will call, the rules are there for a reason afther all.

After they were evicted, maintinence cleaned out the apartment by tossing stuff over the railing (without warning and we live below), and all kinds of pills in various different people's names and needles were left in the grass. I was ticked. My 5lb dog could have been hurt, or us, or all the kids that run through the back yard.

I'm sure everyone has had the experience of coming within 10 feet of someone and suddenly getting the world's strongest feeling that it is someone you never, ever want to see again. Within a week, she was dealing LSD out of the apartment, refusing to clean or bathe, while stealing everyone's food, all while refusing to pay rent or utilities. The other roommate and I booted her out quickly. Her revenge was to tell EVERYONE she was booted because she wouldnt sleep with us. Seriously, her stench was eye watering, so no one wanted to be near her. She did leech off a good friend of mine until his untimely death, going as far as to demand all his things and townhouse from his grieving mother.

I remember having a roommate who never cleaned up after herself, leaving crusty pots and pans and dishes all over the kitchen, and keeping old snack bags and bottles in her room. And when I would clean up and put things back in order, she would put it all back and leave post-it notes saying not to touch her stuff. So I asked her when she intended to clean it up and she evaded the question. Needless to say, I did not renew my lease with that pig and I’m glad I can keep my kitchen and general living space as clean as I like. She never even helped with the cleaning effort when we moved out and it took me 3 HOURS to get the stains out of her bedroom and the kitchen. It’s a wonder we never had ants or other pests there.

Moved in with nothing but the clothes on her back (she did pay prorated rent for the month), and after constant complaints, general complaints, nothing personal or specific, she set fire to mattress in her room. I called the cops. Luckily there were only few days left and she never came back during those days. The cops had a heck of time finding her getting the key to the apartment back afterwards.

Trapped financially in a old, poorly constructed house what wasn't even remotely close to being up to code, let his dogs shit and piss all over the tile floor, trash and festering fountain drink cups all over the place, and to top it all off, the entire house was infested with mice, roaches and worst of all, bedbugs. Dudes mother was a straight up Karen and he turned into a raging, opini9nated dickhead where we've had more than a few physical altercations. He liked to brag he was a retired Marine. (he wasn't. He went into basic training, blew out his knee after a week or two and was discharged and barred from re-entering. Yet he somehow gets VA benefits.) When my landlord asked who they are, they got the whole story. They were asked to leave while my landlord changed the locks to that apt. Funny thing they were a month behind on the rent while they were doing this. You know what is even funnier that renter never came back. After a few months my landlord cleared that apt out, and later rented it. After about 6 months with the new tenant, they told my landlord how someone claimed their apt was still an Airbnb, and they had rented. A treat to call the cops got rid of them. Preaching facts Darkfluff about noise travelling and other neighbours being at the receiving end. I remember when I moved into my flat and within DAYS someone on the 17th floor was blaring music at all hours, turned out this was a recurring problem but the people affected, above and below, were afraid to report them because the woman doing it had a "friend" who bullied/harassed anyone who tried to interject. Me and my (now) ex weren't willing to back down though and painstakingly over a two year period of constant music, we documented and videoed the noise; surprisingly our decision to push back emboldened other residents who had been too terrified to also come forward.
Thankfully all the complaints from multiple sources meant after two years of her bs she was finally evicted. The quiet ever since has been delicious 🥰 when you're in a high rise especially be mindful of your neighbours, sound carries easily; I understand natural noises like washing machines, kids, pets (if allowed) but there is NO reason to be playing music at a volume that's beyond intrusive, it's inconsiderate, rude and spiteful.

Story 4: people misuse and overuse the term 'gaslighting', but telling someone with bad short-term memory they're remembering stuff wrong and that something didn't happen is actual, genuine gaslighting.
Gaslighting makes the victim lose confidence in their memory and basic senses like sight, smell, touch, etc.. We aren't being dramatic when we say gaslighting makes someone feel like they're going insane, because that's what it actuallu does, and the people most at-risk of being gaslit for mentally ill people that already have issues with memory and/or trusting their senses.

Story number 3, what do you mean there's no proof? The camera's gone you didn't take it it only leaves one other person I'm sorry that's proof enough for me also proof enough for me to go full effing scorched-earth as in trust me they're going to pay me back and they will be moving out of their own volition and they'll be doing it very quickly and very hurriedly as they're going to want to leave

The first two stories remind me of living in an on campus apartment. New students moved in & had parties going all the time. I even knocked on their door in pjs at 2 am asking them to quiet down because I needed sleep. Eventually I reported them to my CA & that I had smelled weed at their door (it wasnt legal yet). Needless to say I slept very peacefully for the rest of the semester.

sent a screenshot of the scam email to the uni, with both reply addresses. then i sent a screenshot of the uni homepage and ip location to the scammer. haven't heard a thing about it since.
as for the scam, some $7M business venture.

Op, after the first month that she was gone, you could of had her car towed away, then. And after a good while of it being on the impound lot, it would be a huge fine for HER to pay to get it out or lose it. And after a few months, the yearly registration, tags should have expired, and that is a different expense, for HER. Hope you recorded or copied all of her calls or text to you. Sorry it took so long, but are we happy that you had a friend in A? YES. LUCK!

First story: I get subleasing wasn't allowed - and that that was how they got them - but I don't really see the cause for so much ire? The noise was more the building than the people. Its not like anyone was trying to annoy OP. It was during normal waking hours. The doors just happened to be loud and OP just happened to sleep during waking hours.
Wouldn't hurt to encourage the apartment complex to install pneumatic door closers so things don't slam all day. They're just 15 dollars per door if going cheap.

For the last story- do you legally have to inform the owner of a vehicle you’ve had towed off your property? 👀 Because if it’s not legally required, then I wouldn’t say anything and let the fees rack up. You’ve been ignoring my requests, then I’ll ignore you too, ex-of-mine. Just maybe- for CYA purposes- one last message to the tune of “Please, for the last time, when are you going to pick up your car? I won’t ask again.” 😁

Most of that info in publicly available. Because that's how our laws work.
If I have a phone number, I can find the name, adress, birthday, and other possible snippets of information.
I did it on myself once, and was like "how do they know I'm not married and so and so", before I remembered "oh yeah, all that is public" 😂
