    If our body temperature is off by even a degree, we generally consider it a fever (albeit mild), and our body is working overtime to regulate our temperature; it's also why a cold cloth on the forehead helps. Think about how we sweat when the temperature is close to our internal body temperature like 100 degrees. We sweat to regulate our body temperature. When we sweat, the sweat evaporates, which aids in cooling us down.
    So, it's difficult for us to thrive in excessively warmer temperatures because it is too close to our internal temperature. Hope that helps.

    I barely use my garbage disposal. It’s connected to the sink and it’s best for softer foods. It grinds the food so it can go down the drain. But anything too hard or big will break it. It’s hundreds of dollars to replace. If it breaks some sinks won’t drain properly. It operates with a switch on your wall or under the sink. If you get a finger or hand in it it will take a finger or tear a hand apart. It’s many blades in it. There is rubber over it that you have to push your hand or food past as a guard.

    I don't have a garbage disposal at my house. But it's normally used for like plate scraps that come off your plate in the sink.

    Hey love! Happy New year.
    Okay just my experience but in NYC garbage disposals were illegal up to last year. Most of our buildings are old and the pipes cant handle it. However, newer buildings can have them and I have seen a few but not many and they freak me out! lol
    2. You are right. At least in NYC and other major cities I've visited there is always beer and maybe wine but you cant get tequila at the grocery store. That's what the liquor store is for an they do that to monitor who buys. You also cant buy liqour before 12pm.

    I am in the UK and garbage disposals are not thing here and I am very happy about it because that concept just scares me a lot. But I would love to have a sink sprayer.

      Yeah I'm with you on that one, I'm totally fine without a finger eater like that in my kitchen lol. And a sink sprayer would be cool, seems very handy!

    for liquor, for the state i live in the us, we have liquor stores and there is a wine and beer store, you can buy alcohol in the grocery store but only beer and wine and there are a limited number of licenses so only some grocery stores do it

    lmao. Hypothermia from being skinned alive? Who woulda thought? 😆 omg, the way your mind works is awesome, I hope you know that. Anyway, I do not have a garbage disposal, but I am also fascinated by the idea of them so will have to follow the comments and learn along with you. haha... I assume they are for food waste but idk... Can you use it to dispose of a body,? We know that is what you were trying to ask, be honest 🤣 As for the alcohol thing, it is 19 here in Ontario, Canada but 18 other parts of the country. We also sell it at the liquor store but you can get some stuff at the grocery store and more recently at smaller corner stores. We get a lot of people from the USA coming across to drink when they are 18 and 19 instead of waiting. Apparently in some parts of the world you can drink if you can see over the bar, so if you are a really tall 8-year-old then you're set... lol, idk. This was all very fun! ❤

      well again I don't know if it's actually true, it was just something I saw on Twitter... of all places lmao
      I've learned a lot from the comments so far, very interesting stuff lol.
      And don't expose me like that!! But yeah.. that is true. I've arrived at the conclusion that it might be possible, you would just have to shove it down one little piece at a time. The bones might become a problem though 👀
      We have a lot of swedes coming over to buy alcohol here since it's a lot cheaper apparently. The counter thing is highly interesting though, I'm gonna have to go learn more about that!
      Thank you thank you

    i have a garbage disposal, it has a switch and its far down in the drain so you'd have to really try to hurt yourself. only food waste and it goes into the sewer. i really never used it often, if you put a spoon in, it swirls around and makes a lot of noise but the spoon doesnt go down so you have to pull it out. i've never known anyone to get hurt

    I live in Illinois in the US. All the houses I have lived in have had garbage disposals in the sink. I use it all the time and it is only for food waste. And only things that can get ground up easily. If you put a metal spoon in it will damage the spoon and the disposal. I used to be scared of it when I was a kid but now I am not. I think that the food gets ground up really fine so it can get washed away with the water.

      Oh okay, thanks for letting me know! it's interesting that it gets washed away with the water. I'm guessing that means there isn't a little bucket you need to empty periodically?

    Garbage disposals are connected to sewer lines. We're generally told to avoid putting too much food waste down a garbage disposal and also oil or grease, which congeals and blocks the pipe. So, theoretically, avoid putting anything down the garbage disposal that could cause a blockage.
    Side note: A spoon had fallen into my garbage disposal once, but the motor stopped the spoon from going down the drain. You also hear the loud noise as the motor mangles the spoon. This may create motor problems if it happens too frequently.

    • @Lacylena
      @Lacylena  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm really surprised to learn that they're connected to the sewer lines, that hadn't even crossed my mind!
      And the spoon thing makes me feel better. Would be a shame if you just lost a utensil once in a while to the mighty garbage disposal lol. Thank you for letting me know!

    I had a garbage disposal in my family home, but the apartment I'm in now doesn't have one and I'm very sad about it. We used it every time we did dishes, or even multiple times a day! We used it for gross, wet food that would stink in the garbage, but mostly so we can rinse off our plates directly into the hole. And it doesn't take up space, just a corner under the sink. Yes, I would be very sad if it broke. It's only for food waste, not plastics. Yes, like a core of an apple, or offcuts of a chicken, but not bones or eggshells because it's bad for the blades. The waste just... magically disappears as far as I know. There's a switch like a light switch under the sink, so you have to open the cabinet under the sink to turn it on. If I'm using the sink, my body is blocking that cabinet, so no one can turn it on without me being aware. I'm not afraid of it, but I am aware of it when I'm doing sink stuff - not washing my hands, but when I'm actively washing something down it, I guess? Also the hole is kinda big so you can't get your hand stuck in there. And it has little rubber flaps over the opening so it's a bit hard to accidentally drop something bigger than a ring down there. Don't put a metal spoon in there! Worst case the blades would break off and become a projectile... Also it would definitely break. Food only.
    The logic I was taught in school is that alcohol harms the developing brain. Holding a gun doesn't hurt the development of your brain unless, you know... As far as alcohol stores, that varies a lot state-by-state. Here in Pennsylvania, you can only sell harder alcohol at wine and spirit stores. Wine and beer can be sold anywhere with a license, including grocery stores, but I know the grocery store near me needed to have a separate section for wine, like you have to walk through a different set of doors. Of course that doesn't count bars - I mean like buying a new container.
    I am from Pennsylvania, which is the northeast of the US.

      Thank you so much for the long explanation! The switch under the sink sound like a really smart and safe way to do it. And I kinda feel like I've been missing out on one all my life now since you said you miss yours lol.
      And the alcohol and gun thing makes sense... but only in relation to neurological development, in every other aspect it falls very flat lmao. Again, thank you!

      @@Lacylena I, and most people in America, want there to be WAY more regulations around who can get a gun and how it needs to be stored. Unfortunately, the minority who don't want better gun control are extremely vocal. And rich. I think you should have to have a gun safety training and background check before buying a gun, and be 21+. The issue is that those who want better gun control can't agree on what the new regulations should be, so we get split.

    • @Lacylena
      @Lacylena  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@pepperam5694 that has been my understanding of it too. It’s clearly a very complex issue and you’re so right about the minority being a lot louder and more present in the media. That’s typically how the far-right crowd is in relation to most major issues unfortunately.
      A couple of years ago we had a shooting at a mall in my city with a legal weapon (I believe the guy took it from a family who was a hunter) and when the news broke A LOT of far-right politicians and their disciples were using it as an example to say that stricter gun laws are not needed, when this could happen in a country like mine. The huge difference is obviously that the US had 647 mass shootings in 2022 and Denmark had 1… the first one in years lmao 😭
      They grasp onto whatever they can to feed their delusions and I truly hope changes will be made soon. You guys don’t deserve this

    I keep pausing the video to answer your questions...I care about your sleep cycle. :)
    To answer the grocery/liquor store question, laws about this vary by state in the U.S. In Colorado, voters approved allowing grocery stores to sell hard liquor, which is really unfortunate since it threatens the livelihood of so many small businesses that sell hard liquor. I imagine it must be difficult for alcoholics as well who have to consciously avoid purchasing liquor when they're at the grocery store. A lot of liquor stores are also owned by immigrants, so there's that too. Just my opinion though.

    • @Lacylena
      @Lacylena  9 месяцев назад

      Haha thank you, I appreciate it! :))
      Well that's kind of a shame, it must be tough for those who relied on selling the hard liquor, especially in this economic climate. I guess I know where I'll be going if I ever visit Colorado lol. Which I really want to do, it looks beautiful from what I've seen!
