Did you try doing foundation double crochet instead of chain then double crochet? Wonder if it will work as nicely... might make the row of sc easier too
I never knew until now that there was a difference! I must have been learning the American way from learning through American RUclips vids. I'll have to check out some more UK ones and see some different techniques x
I'm right-handed, and I look at these videos sort of like being in the front seat of a right-hand drive car for the first time--it takes getting used to, but all will be well.
