I loved the combat system in KCD. It was involving and refreshing. The variety of gameplay was excellent. After finishing KCD, I felt immensely satisfied, having completed an epic adventure with my boy Henry, to see him grow and become a man. I hope there’s that feeling of progression in KCD2. I’m super excited.

It actually makes sense that combat in KCD2 will be a little easier. as it stands to reason that Henry will start with a decent level of skill due to the events of the previous game. The reason combat was hard in at the start of KCD1 was that Henry was a nobody at the start.
That but ultimately they simply wanna make it a more accessible game for newcomers which is why the attack options are gonna be slightly reduced and rewards aggression more over calculated strikes. I'm feeling mixed about it but as long as the target camera is better then that alone will be a huge improvement.

Well okay. Thats simple. Don't watch them and unsubsribe from every gaming channel. I prefer to know somethings about the game as long their are no essential spoilers, but if you don't want to know anything than unwubscribing from all gaming content is the only way.
I honestly cannot wait for KCD2 I think I'm gonna do another KCD1 playthrough to be ready :D IF KCD2 had COOP, it would be the GOTY no question. I do hope that they tackle a different location after KCD2, imagine their engine showing Acre during the Crusades, or The English/French wars around Rouen etc. Their art style is so great, I'd love them to even try moving forward to something like the Napoleonic Era.

The knightly culture of my own country, Spain, is either too pious or too tyrannical for my taste. In that regard KCD has been amazing and indeed refreshing. Can't wait for the second game!
"Combos feel less essential than they did in the original game". Right. Guess we didn't play the same game, considering combos were essentially useless. You could use them if you were bored, but there's not a single fight where they were more useful than simply abusing masterstrikes, which were extremely easy to perform and by far the most efficient way to go about combat.
KCD and RDR2 ruined many open world games with how alive and reactive their games worlds were. I basically had to go back and play old games open world games in order to find impressive open worlds. KCD2 and GTA6 have me hyped purely for their open worlds. There have literally been know new open world games that have blown me away since KCD, RDR2 and Witcher 3. Its nice to be hyped again.

KCD1 was a fantastic adventure/story, but the automatic soft lock-on destroyed combat fun. Horribly implemented. Overall maneuvring on-foot and on horseback need a huge overhaul for KCD2.

Everyone struggled with combat in KDC. You really had to learn it to be efficient. Hunting or just shooting with bow was another struggle, but by the end you could do it with ease.
1:55 its flipping hilarious when you see hits like that in video games and the players just carry on as if barely hit, not a critique though, we all get that for gameplay reason sometimes realism isnt fun
I guarantee that many will dislike this game, because they had their expectations. But honestly most who played it say it is good. And they were absolute fans of this game. So I doubt it will be disappointing rather not for everyone like the first title

The combat in KCD is the easiest I’ve seen. The issue was always people thinking at level 2 they can go in swinging on 4 bandits and win. It’s a true rpg, unless your a master at arms (high level in strength, warfare and weaponry) your won’t get far. Soon as you learn master block/counter you can just hit Q all day and win
The fighting still looks stiff n horrible..i just got into the first one..i had no idea such an amazing deep medievel rpg existed and im addicted but the fighting system pushed me away for a week..i went back and pushed thru..leveled up..trained and the battle system is still so slow and wacky..and it loojs juat as stiff in part 2..but well see..either way im buying the game i cant believe the first one is from 2018 and now its 2024 and i just found out abput this gem

I loved kcd1, but so far none of these videos are per se getting me hyped. looks like same engine, same animations. that cross bow scene just makes things looks slow and clunky. i’m curious what added game mechanics there are or what new things they innovated. different weapons and locations seem to be the only new thing with the story of course. not saying this is bad, i just wish there was more reported on what is new. this is the fourth video i’ve watched and at this point i. probably going to wait until the game comes out to read reviews and maybe play a demo to determine whether i’ll buy.
Probably no KCD1 did not have an aiming crosshair for bows but it takes some practice to perfect shots. But maybe there would be perks that help with ranged combat. During encounter with the bandit in the ruins, we did see a perk called *Steady Aim*
Looks quite a bit more impressive, but the Witcher 3 did get a massive graphical overhaul a couple of years ago, so it’s still a good looking game with those updates.
Because you're not thinking of it like real training, I thought of it like real training and I trained with Captain Bernard for an entire irl day. I can now take on groups of Cumans and armored bandits with ease.

Too afraid of realism? Real life must be too scary This is exactly what the devs were going for. Henry starts as a nobody with no experience in combat. Even the starting cutscene of Henry using his father sword to awkwardly fail at cutting down a wooden stick emphasises how Henry is truly terrible and needs experience

Just do what I do in KCD 1 Pick as many as you can with the Bow then finish off the other's with an hammer or mace
