@@RichardYangPiano Thanks for your kind and honest answer, almost all videos about the Yamaha hybrid pianos are indeed featuring the Garritan VST... I also have the impression that the Kawai Novus pianos have better sounding factory samples...
I have the YT short on just the Finale with the best part. It’s way too epic, I’m gonna wait until after the piano lesson is out before I release it. Otherwise people won’t watch this video because that YT short is just too satisfying and epic. This is quite a bit faster than Animenz, few will notice that huge jump near the end, that’s the farthest biggest jump at this speed I’ve ever attempted.
@RichardYangPiano I noticed the jumps, and they shocked me. It is also such a weird piece to look at in synthesia (midi). I remember looking at it and it confused me so much 😅
@@twofoldd I just don’t memorize music. If you’ve followed this channel you’ll know I’m in binge recording mode. I pump out pieces pretty fast. So no time to memorize.
Very good playing! I started learn this piece too last week, and now I'm at the bridge before the 2nd chorus. The most and the greatest challenge for me is to keep the tempo right on track, it's very difficult for me 'couse I'm not an classical trained so all my piano Performance 'goal' is stays at: "dont miss any keys or hits wrong" but not really focus with the tempo. So, I'm very excited to wait 3/30 lol. Thank you so much for making the lesson for this piece. From an fellow anime pianist who wants to play animenz trough your lesson from indonesia.
I personally have a very poor internal clock. I do struggle with tempo, usually tend to speed up. I think the comforting thing, though still wrong, is that, even when I tend to go faster, at least my hands can usually support the faster speed.
@@RichardYangPiano thanks for the experience. Me too, i always looking at the music sheet or wall whenever i play that 'three notes melodic pattern'. Lol. But yeah, as you say, my hands can reach the speed but not consistently stays on tempo. Hope I'll be much better soon. Thanks!
That is correct. Because Garritan interface is rather buggy, it can crap out during play, etc, not stable. PianoTeq is very light on processing power, so it’s perfect for live feedback. The sound is not nearly as good as Garritan. But overall, both are much better than the stock sound.
@@yrtyrtyrty9523 I have Garritan CFX for my final videos, and I use PianoTeq for live feedback. Garritan is unbeatable in terms of sound, but PianoTeq is much more stable. These are the only two that I’ll have.
@@RichardYangPiano if you have a chance to test VSL Vienna Symphonic Library Yamaha CFX I highly recommend it, I have Garritan and VSL Vien and the dynamics in VSL seems to be even better than in Garritan, but I have a problem with adjusting the curve in VSL, check it out www.youtube .com/watch?v=_KIgUAULDKs
BEAUTIFUL ! Incredible performance. I am still a novice at the piano (9 months). I'm thinking of buying the N1X but I heard that the Kawai NV10S was better. What do you think ? Keep it up ! Btw underrated RUclips Channel
I did a review if you’re interested: ruclips.net/video/xKi6ndG32cY/видео.html NV10S should be better especially on the touch. N1X keys are extremely heavy. Although they are great for superior control, they can be very tiring on long technical runs. NV10S apparently doesn’t have this issue. But I can’t afford that. If budget allows, get the NV10S. Better yet, with Garritan CFX, you can see how you can turn any midi-capable digital piano to a gorgeous CFX in concert hall. You can go to any piano shop and try out the touch on all they got and pick based on touch. Sound can be taken care of by VST.

I love comments like this!
How’d you like the Finale?
I’m experimenting releasing at a different time and see if this works better. 7am EST.
This was very early for me. I was lucky to catch it mid video. I was happy to watch the rest during the premiere.
This sounds really good! I like how you divided the video into sections.
I figure most are waiting for that good and best parts.
best cover yet
Amazing 🙏 and the Yamaha hybrid piano sounds beautiful
It’s the magic of Garritan CFX. After trying any good VST the stock sound will no longer be tolerable.

Great performance as always Richard!
Great playing! I'm still stuck not being able to sightread grade 1 pieces, so this level is unimaginable to me.
im at grade 5 and this took me 3/4 year to play this, so good luck wait until youre grade four maybe youll have a chance😅😅
it will happen :)
omg you're so amazing this is beautiful!
I think so too. ^_^
Great cover. I gotta say this is definitely one of the best covers I've seen❤

Good luck eh. In case if you didn’t know, I released the piano lesson video for this recently. Might be helpful.

as good as usual
btw nice haircut
I hope i can learn some animenz covers eventually, but right now I'm stuck on unravel
That’s quite a statement you got. Before learning on some of his covers you’re already on the most difficult.
Do you play using Pianoteq and then re-render in Garritan for the upload?
(Great work by the way, the finale is nuts)

is the vst garritan sound quality better than the Yamaha N1X built-in samples? is there a big difference in sound quality?
If you try any good VST (Garritan is the absolute best), the stock N1X sound is now garbage.
