I’ve used Dean’s CombineImages for JWST data as I showed in articles I did for Astronomy and Sky at Night. Have yet to try HST. Did you experiment with the HST preset button; I noticed it wasn’t selected. Thanks!
hey there, sorry for the delay but as long ago as I made this video I don't recall which permutations I've tried. I have not used it in a bit, but still a wonderful tool.
Thanks for the video and for finding that script… I will be looking into that. Question of how you dealt with the JWST six filter images being different resolutions? that is tripping me up. Three of the “i2d” images are about 50% of the resolution of the other three.
usually when you register everything it's resolution agnostic, there is also AlignByCoordinates in PI as well. You can also rescale and align if you want, which dataset are you having trouble with?
Thanks for this. Question: my color results are quite different than yours; I did follow your work flow. Is there a color setting in Pixinsight I might have set incorrectly?
Really appreciate the simpler workaround. But I could not get it to work. I was using the Cartwheel Galaxy (PGC 2248) NIRCAM JWST images but could not get any colour at all, just black-white. Followed your process accurately as possible. Tried i a few times. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
Thank Goodness I found your video. Great job. God bless you
This is absolutely fantastic!

Thanks. I may reload, register and crop the six images again then use your settings again. 🤞
