It's so satisfying that the co-founder allowed the trader to explain his hypothesis. Quality of a true leader. Liked it.

We were missing this type of interaction between you and the traders in many of your trade reviews videos. Cognitively this approach is far more engaging. Please keep them coming in this format - it is truly priceless

Hey Mike, can't thank you and your firm enough for the content you're producing for the community. Would like to see Real time trading if its something you can do. An example would be a trader (Shark if hes willing!) talking through his trades, putting in orders, thought commentary, etc. I figure this would be tough to do as all your traders would rather focus on trading, but if something like this from SMB could be produced, would be tremendous value to the retail trader. Thanks again for all you guys do!

Awesome video! I'd like to see more like this, where a real trade is broken down and examined.

    Hi Mike,
This is actually one of the best videos I've seen you do due to the interaction with that trader and the feedback you gave him. Tbh I think it was a bit of a tricky pattern but he showed resilience in not quitting on the trade due to the fundamental/bigger picture. This particular trade he took looks very similar to Austin's playbook i see in his daily reports.

Just watched a similar trade happen yesterday on FNMA. I wanted to play it as a breakout but I had not seen a gap up breakout play yet so I just sat back and watched. It was very similar to this ETSY trade

Great video, by far, you guys produce some of the most educational and straight forward vids. I found you guys by accident, lucky me! I trade options primarily and would love to see more of those. Thx.

great vid - extremely useful to see how traders on your desk trade a specific trade and your commentary on it.

I've just watched this video again and seen one of my set ups which is a pull into vwap at the open. I've also noticed that he was using a 2min chart. The entry for a pull into vwap would have been at 8 minutes in and if the entry would have been caught he would have been risk free for the session. The trend for the next 3 days was quite bullish similar to when amarin exploded.

    Hey SMB Capital!
I found this video super helpful as I actually took this trade as well. This earnings season I've done pretty well with earnings breakouts and ETSY was one that I just didn't trade right. I was buying right around $66 and sold a lot of my shares around $65.50 when the stock took a nose dive. I sold the rest of my shares near the end of the day around $68.70 so I ended slightly green on the trade but much less than I could have made. I like how you bought the stock back after the pullback. This is something I need to improve on. I also liked how you bought more after the tight consolidation between 12pm-1pm. I'll definitely be on the lookout for similar opportunities.
    Thank you!

Great Video. Like so much this format where mentor/trader are talking to each other to know the mindset behind the trade. Like the video where it started with the catalyst of the stocks then going thru the technicals of entering the trade. Many thanks for sharing

Question as it pertains to RVOL... I've always known it to be relative volume at that particular time of day, and a good indicator for entries. However, it seems in many of your lessons, RVOL is referred to as more. To me, RVOL at 9:15 is going to be different than at 9:35, so how can a PM RVOL at that particular time determine what to watch at open?

Mike - Great video. I like seeing the behind the scenes look of the office. It wasn't too distracting, but made me look back over the at screen rather than the powerpoint hold slide with someone talking over it. I didn't hear too much about his risk levels on the trade or rather he didn't spend too much time on it. Was he not focused heavily on the risk because it was an ATH opening range bo? Also, why is the pm action not shown on his charts?

I would wish you would add time and stock type. So people here can have a go at the exact same stock. They might also have a different method to this. (I've never done stocks) will give it a try soon.

I would like to ask about how exactly traders get stomped out of their trades. It seems simple but also confusing at the same time. Today I got stomped out of a trade just by a penny and stock turned around in split second. I wasn't even sure if my stop price had been reached. I would assume that if someone would artificially try to reach my stop market triger point he would need to lower the price first by selling the stock and immediately buy it back. But it looks almost like buying just with lowering price first. But logically thinking buying should increase the price, not lower it. Surprisingly there isn't much info about this on youtube. Could you please explain a little bit how it works. Because it happens all the time before news breakouts etc.

    • @mbellafiore19
      @mbellafiore19 5 лет назад

good to be thinking about a reentry strategy Vito. you get stopped out because the sellers sell at your stop price. why they do is not always obvious. understanding patterns most likely to rebound after a stop out and worth risk for you is.

I research your vwap strategy a month and results was loss and time also... trading is not simple things.. if price is gap up then it's late... gap down also late. The problems is in intraday momentum with trend and health is very important and it is critical thats why 95% retailer failed only investor are happy..
