The only thing more maddening then handing a thousand items to Cronus 1 at a time are the conversations on reddit about it. Any time somebody suggests changing him to let players hand in multiple items at once the community universally says "Terrible idea. You would earn so many nanites it would break the game." Ok.... then decrease the amount we earn. I'd gladly take an 80% penalty to nanites if I didn't have to sit here for 2 hours clicking the same 2 buttons over and over. Every other part of gathering / cooking is *fun.* Cronus is not.
Its easy to farm units in this game... just go to pirate stations and buy some upgrades, then go to normal station and sell them. This way you can earn a lot of nanites.
I did not realize that you could only turn in one at a time. I made 1,100 Mystery Meat Stews. It has been 3 days and I still have over 500 left to turn in. By the time I am done, I don't expect to have much use of my index finger for a few days.
Thanks for the video! Unfortunately, I just feel like cooking, while super fun to do, is kind of broken. the fact that you have to "talk" to him 200 times to sell it is dumb. why cant we just sell them like anything else. It's a fun process to make food, but the system is missing something. I'd even be down to see the food give better buffs so that people actually might eat it. Does anyone else here actually eat the food they cook?
Lol, your the first one to show the herb encrusted flesh, my testing was 2000 for turn in, and your numbers are remarkably close to my results, and yes it's boring, but one turn in is actually only around 7 seconds, depending on Cronos closing animation
Ahhh, the various thing we done for nanite b4 sentinel update. Now I just farm those glass and sell the module. Heck I can even buy suspicious tech package, open it and directly sell the illegal module.
Yeh ok this is the most simplest way to get nanites out of cooking but call me crazy but I enjoy the whole cooking side to this game what food give the most nanites no matter how complex the recipe is ??
Is there a good list of recipes somewhere? There’s just so many food items!!! Then there’s three different slots in the nutrient processor… How are you supposed to know which ones to put together to make food?!
Mystery Meat Stew is my usual go to, or Pilgrim's Tonic. Pilgrims tonic you can easily get over a thousand Star Bulbs from a good planet if you find one, then 50 to turn to pilgrim berry then 50 to turn to Pilgrims Tonic. You don't get as many nanites, but if you got a few hours to kill you can prob get 20k per hour if you are lucky. Mystery Meat stew is easy to get also, specially if you stack up the quests to kill the animals. Now though I am going to try to do the Vegetable stuff. I have the Fungus, just need to learn the recipe to make the plants to plant.
I like cooking for foodstuffs that provide buffs, but turning in food for nanites is just too blinkin’ slow. I’d rather find a mould deposit, build a base there, and then farm and refine.
Please someone come up with a better way. I can't stand one at a time food turnin. Any tips? I need 50k nanites to upgrade my ship to S class. This is cruel.
Set up a macro (record the sequence of inputs you need to give 1 food item) in the software of your choice and make a coffee/do the dishes/browse the internet/whatever. If you're on console, stay strong
@@robertp.2299 Have you done anything like this because in game you need to be targeting the NPC correctly and activating the exchange it's not only key presses it's in game targeting.
Best way I've found is find a "curious deposit". When you mine them with the laser they give you runaway mold that you can refine into nanities, depending on the size of the deposit you can get up to 2k runaway mold or more making it the fastest way to farm nanites I've encountered, set up a base near by and a vehicle depot, travel away from where the curious deposit was about 600u and come back, the game re-spawns them and you can just mine them again, bonus if you manage to find 2 deposits close to each other
In a lapse of about 20 min I had about 20k nanites, set up a couple refiners for the mold you have already collected, set it to refine and do your trip away from the deposit and come back while you farm the deposit your nanites are cooking
@@MrSeniorGeek In third person, I've found you can move away from Cronus, point the crosshair a bit to the left of him, then move forward. If you get it right you can talk to him, and when you exit his dialog you will be pointing at him, and you can then keep on talking to him and present as much food as you like without needing to aim or sidestep.

Should really do another step to make herb encrusted flesh.
You can "upgrade" your meat stew by combining it with flavoursome sauce to make herb-encrusted flesh

This video is so well made! Quick to the point with minimal fluff! Ty :)
Glad you liked it!!

Thumbs up for the dedication! i think you spend at least two hours for all 3 x 200 stacks to craft and turn in. so respect who deserves it!
THANK YOU!!! Awesome concise video, and now my character is rich! Easy money, with only ONE ingredient. NICE$$$$$$$!!!!!!!
although the turning in of pots of herb-encrusted flesh is incredibly tedious, it is actually pretty quick; It just feels like it ages.
These are the best two foods that are easy to make. I may cook some with scorching sauce though.
Thanks a lotz both are useful as I always accidentally end up with meat chunks and such, so this is a good way to make use of them.

I'd like to know that, too, and if it makes a difference.
I think it might be Iced Screams
LoL i made hundreds of millions selling all kinds of donuts you should look up the recipes
Thanks for this VIdeo, it helped figuring out what to with food at all.
Traveller: “Eat sh*t”
Cronus: “Say less!”
Traveller: “…What?”
Tip: You can actually make Delicious Vegetable Stew with JUST Gamma Root ☝️it makes both fibrous stew and Flavoursome Sauce
Depends on the plabet what you get first most times mordite is the easier option
@@danielstokker ya that’s true 🤙 overtime tho when you got your farm up and running Gamma Root is just the way to go
It would be nice to be able to enter amount you want to trade in instead of one at a time
Great video by the way
Great work. Bravo sir!
What really irks me about the cooking aspect is that we can't grow the actual food items like the peas and such in our bases.
You can grow mordite in your base that alone makes meat stew

By trying them all out
Awesome video ty man
Great info.. thanks

Is there any easy way to give Cronos pack of the soup instead of one by one?

Using auto hot key can let the pc to do the tedious clicking for you!
I when I try to offer it, it doesn't show up as a choice??
You have to shuffle your inventory around a little bit. Yes, it's annoying, I also hate it.
Take out anything 4lse he can eat
Thats weird, I just looked up at my nanites and I have, 155,009. I had to rewind for a second 6:44
Ohh No Man's Sky SIMPLY Complicated...
How many nanites an hour
Roughly 50k nanites per hour based on turning in either herb crusted flesh or delicious vegetable stew
@@Raging___Gamingyea maybe if you made all the stew already not if you have to gather make it and sell it
Best and easyest way for nanits.... Shit to food..... Best Idee ever XD....
Mordite isnt shit its actually rotten meat basicly we making stew out of carcasses space marine style
