The pilot who launched had a clear path when he left the ground but the launch director (if they had one) had the balloon that was cold inflating go hot right in front of him , lifting up right in his flight path. I had that happen to me at Fiesta once but by blind luck managed to miss the fella who inflated in front of me. Sometimes, 'stuff just happens'. Mind you, setting his balloon on fire was 'Pilot error'.....look up and burn is pretty important, at times.
