Yes!! Thank you for this. I’m a new teacher and have been keeping a binder with notes on each student’s interests and strengths. That way if a student is having behavioral struggles, I can focus incentives around their specific interests/strengths. For example, I have a student who was struggling that loves beauty/nails. I ordered a gel nail kit as an incentive and used a “punch card” to give her hole punches for good behavior each day. Once she earned all 10 punches, she earned part of her gel nail kit! I kept it going for a few weeks and it was very motivating to her. Each day she would ask, “did I earn my punch?!” ❤️

Thanks for sharing! I never thought of a show and tell with older students to use as a "Get to know your students". Great idea!

Anybody who gets to connect with you in any way, student, parent, other teacher, etc. is very lucky. :)

Loved the video, thank you ! I am going to implement the Show and Tell focused on Family right away! I work at an IB - PYP school and our next Unit is Where We Are in Place and Time - Families. I'm sure the students (and their families) will love this sharing chance 😉.
