I think it might have been easier if you made it respond to usage of certain muscle memory. For example if you move your index finger as if you're clicking the left mouse button the device will pick that up and do the action associated with that button. Might be harder to program but probably won't give you as big of a headache while playing.

I wonder if you can use regression with temporal filtering for the labels of actions. Like press a button that says "I'm thinking of moving forward" and then vaguely think of moving forward and let an artificial neural network or a key point finding algorithm like used in slam to identify unique parts of the eeg signal then press a stop button to indicate you're no longer thinking of that signal and repeat for all actions. This may make it easier and more natural to your current associations instead of trying to force a novel association such as the cube moving around.
The advancement of this tech has cool implications, especially for games. I find myself wanting single buttons to do different things, and always wished there was some way the computer could know what I wanted at that moment...

I have health problems and because of that I can't use a keyboard and mouse, with the possibilities that this and similar gadgets give you, you can find a lot of interesting things to use. On the flip side it may be a great benefit and increase concentration or his abilities to meditate and leave his body to visit with entities from other dimensions.

I wonder how vastly different a run like this would work with someone who is amphantasic (inability to visualise).
There are different types of aphantasia, like if you can't imagine things in your head you still might be able to imagine noises or sensations. They might also be able to recall feelings like happiness or drives like hunger.
@@clobre_ yeah! Like, for me, I cannot visualise imagery but I can easily visualise noises (songs, voices, sounds).
Aphantasic people still have spatial awareness so I'd think it would work the same

Honestly, i'm not sure how much I trust this. First off, I can't see his hands, so I can't tell if he is actually using his brain or his keyboard and mouse. He could've made a way to prove that he wasn't using keyboard and mouse. Second off, for as far as I watched, he didn't explain how he moved his cursor in his inventory. He also didn't explain how he swaped between blocks and tools within his hotbar. I will continue watching, though. (EDIT 1) I also forgot to mention about how he controlled his head to look at different objects so controlled. I doubt that he is not using keyboard and mouse and I am 99.99% sure this is fake. Sure, he added the part where he was training his brain on a cube but, a cube is not minecraft. The cube could be moved in the 6 basic 3d directions, maybe aswell as shrinking/growing and rotating but, minecraft takes a lot more mechanics than that. Sorry, i'm not buying it.
