Street legal cars go head-to-head for a one lap race around the track. The winner moves on and the loser goes home. When there are two cars left, whoever wins the best 2/3 races is the nights winner and also gets $500!

I find few motorsport activitiesto be more entertaining than spectator drags. These need to be way more prevalent throughout the country. Absolutely love it! I gotta get in this
1.) The Cutlass seems to be better than ever but the driver can’t keep his head out of his butt.
2.) They really need a flag man with some talent.
That cutlass looks to be set up for a circle track not a stock street set up lmao no wonder why he so fast lmao
Our local 1/4 does 2 laps for the spectator drags which makes it a little more interesting.

I think he was scared of the other guy hitting him. That SAAB driver didn't seem like he gave 2 fucks whether or not he dented up his ride.
Some people have never negotiated a corner at high speed. As soon as they try it, their asshole grabs the bottom of their seat, and their balls disappear.
@@ryannutter4669 This, and Honestly until I upgraded then springs and took some of the height out on mine, it was kinda freaky on fast corners. Way to much roll and brake dive. Also if it wasn't a SHO PP, he couldn't shut off advancetrac/ curve control and all that shit which can drop power etc.

Great vid as always, driving that big black Mercedes on winter tires was a challenge, had to give up the inside in 3/4 as I saw the BMW to my inside and did not trusty car to stay put. Winter tires on this track made it seem like ice in the corners feathering it...

the inside lane has the advantage. not really a fair race
The inside lane has the advantage only in the corners. If your car has better acceleration than your opponent, then it's actually better to start on the outside. Several drivers knew this because they jumped out in front from the start so they could apex the turns. A faster accelerating car that starts on the inside may reach turn 1 first, but will be entering the turn on the inside and thus will have to cut a sharper line through the corners than the car that started on the outside. That's why you see slower cars that entered from the outside gaining ground in the turns -- the got to carry more speed through them by cutting a gentler line, while the inside car has to brake harder in order to cut a sharper line.
@P S The inside lane has the advantage only in the middle of corners. On straights, it's more advantageous to be on the outside, because you're in better position to apex the next corner.
Staying on the inside the whole time means you'll cover less distance, but you won't go as fast. Entering a corner from the inside means your arc is sharper, thus you have to brake harder than the guy entering from the outside, who has a straighter arc through the corner (provided he apexes correctly). The straighter the line, the more speed you carry.

This is far more exciting than NASCAR. Always delicious when a Mustang takes a win. Both the Foxbody and the SN95 were designed to be corner carvers, not straight line racers. Only problem is the guy in the Fox clearly has his car setup for straight line. That SN95 GT looked like it was on rails though.
