Seekonk Speedway been doing them for a long time. The 4th of July show when I was younger late 80s early 90s used to have over 100cars entered. And they used to do a demolition derby at the end of the night.
So I have been watching your videos for a few years and when the camera passes the back stretch I try to pause it to see my dad that passed today I found up thanks again
Sorry to hear of your dad's, passing. If he was sitting on the backstretch last season, you might want to check. out my HD videos from 2022, for sure you will see him!>>>
@@KBsNESTA thankyou but it's the old ones that he's in the martin and chase Years some of the best times I've ever had and I get to re watch them because of you
It's funny how many people in the 90s didn't know the Fiero is rear wheel drive. I towed one in 98 and had several people question me about that, thinking I'd ruin the transmission because it was on the front wheels. Apparently even a guy who announced street car races back then was getting that wrong. That was an era when car companies were obsessed with FWD, so I guess people just assumed anything small "must" be FWD.
Louie Diaz was still racing sll the way back then? I've been going since 1995 and for some reason dont remember him until around 2010. He might be the longest rrunning consistently racing driver for spectator drags there.

Wow! 1999 was not as fuzzy as I remember. I see wife beaters, and JNCO jeans too!! Nice!!!
THIS IS GREAT! I SWEAR I STILL SEE A FEW OF THESE CARS IN CURRENT RACES THERE
Wow, I had no clue any tracks did spectator drags back then. Thaks for sharing this!

Many of these races started in the 1950's
@@jcarle1001their demolition derby was the best
The way "Eagle Talon" is said, here. lul
I’ve been trying to find old seekonk spectator drag videos. I use to race there back then.
“We’ll have a front wheel drive race in the Pontiac Fiero!”😂 LOL!
That Cougar was truly iconic. After him was a 78ish red camaro, 90s green tbird and a 93ish green camaro that would dominate seekonks spectator drags.
Those were the good ol days
I remember the green camaro and t bird racing with the black Mark VIII and red C4 vette. They were the top 4 for a while.
@matthewsherman1450 the black Lincoln was The guy in the green tbirds son
Alan and Ray crush them drags for yrs ...

Im glad the tradition of announcing races, and having no idea about cars has been around since at least 99
The year of 4 Bangers
I was there for the race . Alan and Ray wore the class of the field....
Today old Mitsubishi runs these races back then they were working on it....
Oh man! I was hoping this was the race I participated in! Lol
That was awesome!
Man this is old, 89 Lemans? Don't see those anymore
Tebow and calitri thanks
Eagle Tuh-lawn😂😂
Do you have any recordings of the mid 80’s like 85-86 ?
You can check the playlists, but I believe they begin in 1987.
Anyone have any Spectator drags Recordings from 1985 - 86 ?
I remember the Cougar, so dominant back then. Sadly, I think it would get smoked now.
Back when the 79 TA use to win all the time then the Cougar !
THAT WAS THE SHIT !

Seekonk is an Indian word. It means at the Outlet
How it relates to racing is a little beyond me unless you look at the obvious
Seekonk is the name of town where the track is located.
@@KBsNESTA and it’s a word that is actually Indian and that’s what it means. That’s where the town got its name from
