  • In July of 2020, President Trump signed 4 executive orders to lower costs on prescription drugs. This became effective in January 2021, however, Joe Biden cancelled Trumps executive orders when he started his Presidency. TV news reported little to nothing on this issue when Trump was in office and following, preoccupied with the “pandemic”. This made the prices be up as they had been previously causing extra expenses for Americans. In 2022, Biden included many of the same policies when he signed “The Inflation Reduction Act” which also included billions in additional expenses to the American people. Biden then touted that he “beat big pharma” and took credit for the prior policies. Americans waited nearly 2 years to actually begin saving on select pharmaceuticals. A bonus real about medical expenses is added here in response to Biden trying again to take credit for a policy that actually was voluntarily put in place by credit bureaus. Footage from Whitehouse public video and archives used and a local station in the bonus reel.
