Dude, the drummer is Nick Barker, who became one of THE most respected and requested drummers in extreme metal history. Just check out all the bands he played with, live or studio.
I bought this masterpiece in 96 on a whim, never heard their music before that, id read a few articles on them in metal hammer and was sold on their, then image of the vampire look, so went out and grabbed it , best ten soves i ever spent , listen to it regularly to this day. Dani so gifted. RIP Stu .
The whole album is amazing like this. “Vempire”, “Principle of Evil Made Flesh”, “Cruelty and the Beast”, and “Bitter Suites to Succubi” are equally as good.
Early CoF albums are frikkin' insane, and Dani's vocals are beautifully eerie. I really love their early albums up until Midian, I think. Their albums after Midian are still great, of course, but all the masterpieces are from the early ones. Thanks for the reaction and the nice analysis 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼
'Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids' is my favourite song after over 20 years of being a huge fan. Excellent reaction - everything I want in a reaction and more! Subscribed xx
Cradle Of Filth is my favorite band for about 26 years, I like all their songs but my favorite is also "Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids", the one I like least is "Temptation". 🤟😛🤘
@@gallopinggargoyles7891 Yes, I saw it, I found it funny when Hollywood_6ix said he imagined Dani Filth going down to hell with a microphone to sing with the devil, or something like that. 😂
Oh... it gets even better. There's another song called Bathory Aria by them, about the same Countess that this song is about. It goes on for 11+ minutes and is an amazing example of just how much musical talent Cradle of Filth featured over the years.
Bathory Aria is a MUST listen. I love A Gothic Romance but I think their top three songs are: 3 - Tearing the Veil from Grace 2 - Queen of Winter, Throned 1 - Bathory Aria Honorable mentions to Haunted Shores, The Twisted Nails of Faith, and Summer Dying Fast. Early CoF is truly unprecedented!
I discovered this album in 1997 and have been a fan since. When you mentioned only hearing Nymphatine and then jumping into this…I had a devious smile on my face knowing you are about to have a pure musical experience. Music that is brutal yet so melodic, the thunderous drumming and Dani’s vocal prowess. That whole album is basically dark poetry with killer music to back it. Now try The Twisted Nails of Faith
Apart from the obvious female vocal on the almost-narrated section (from "Fleeting, enshadowed . . . " to ". . . new-found life",) ALL vocals are by Dani - both the low-pitched growl and high-pitched scream vocal.
it was very hard choose the right song of this album, like i said this album is their masterpiece and this song may not be the very best song of the album but it's a very good introduction to the band ,keep in mind that this album was released in 1996 and in those years if you weren't from Tampa Florida you weren't cool, they were basically caught in the middle between the death metal scene and the reminiscences of Nordic black metal and btw there is only one amazing singer.
Bathory Aria is a masterpiece. Dani Filth (vocalist/songwriter) has said it's his favorite song he's written. it's 11min long, but IMO they could've made it longer LOL. not being sarcastic.
The low vocals and the high vocals are both performed by the same vocalist, Dani Filth. :D Early Cradle of Filth, as others have pointed out in the comments, was absolutely unprecedented. I do love 'Hammer of the Witches' (2015) and 'Cryptoriana -The Seductiveness of Decay' (2017), but my heart will always fuckin' lie with their first three-four full-length albums (up to and just about including 'Midian'). You should definitely react to something from 'Cruelty and the Beast', yo. One of you mentioned Countess Bathory - 'Cruelty and the Beast' is an embellished concept album about her. \m/
The insane thing is this isn't even the best song on the album. And the drummer on this one, and all their early albums, is Nick Barker, one of the greatest metal drummers of all time. After he left Cradle, he was in Dimmu Borgir for a bit as well

They came to form from at least 2012. Those albums like Hammer of the Witches are great.
@@iachtulhu1420 What?????? 1991, and the first album 1994, The principal of evil made flesh, the best album.

Ich habe mir Ihr Video mit Freude angesehen.
Du bist großartig
You two are so adorable !!!
Best album together with cruelty and the beast.
yep bro is art
bro, this drummer the legendary Nick Barker
This album is their best album and "Funeral In Carpathia" is the album's best track.
No! Their best and masterpiece album is "Cruelty and the beast"
From my point of view the one I enjoy the most is Damnation And A Day
Malice through the Looking Glass is the best track on the album
As soon as the evil laugh hits she gets that much more into it.
We don't have to speak English to feel and to have goosegumps with this song, more than one cried with this song, it is a marterpice.

Man are you kidding, this song is a masterpiece.
Yes, it is the greatest song of theirs. It hits almost all the music checkmarks.
