I just know they learned a lot from that unexpected loss to Kansas State. I cannot wrap my head around how Texas was able to COMPLETELY dominate Wisconsin and Nebraska.
Congrats Longhorns! It was an impressive victory. And a tough match to witness for us Husker fans.

Nebraska will be incredibly strong next year. They had an amazing year. It'll be interesting to see how Texas and OU do in the Big East. Hook 'em.

I knew Texas would win but I didn't expect nebraska to be so rough on serve receive considering they take pride in that area.

Destinee was way more explosive, her athleticism was unreal. Skinner is great, but Destinee is unmatched.

God I just love seeing Texas crush Nebraska’s dreams in any sport. So satisfying.
The giant defenders of Wisconsin weren’t enough to defend against Madisen and Asjia’s offensive onslaught. I was still anxious going into the championship game but after the first few points in the second set, I knew Texas was just too talented and too skilled to lose against the younger Huskers. Hook ‘Em Lady Longhorns!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 CONGRATS!!!

Actually, I totally forgot about the Championship game until Monday at the gym.
I predicted Texas needed to win the first set to even have a chance.
Never did I once think it was going to be a sweep.
I was just hoping Texas could win one set.
I'm from here, and was rooting for my state to repeat.

Exactly. He and his squad had no answer for Texas and it was obvious with his body language all match. But then again there's nothing you can do when the other team is just better than you like Texas was yesterday.

Did Texas hire a serving coach right before the Final Four? I've never seen a team serve two great teams off the court!
Saying this is a team of freshman is a lie! They have 4 juniors a sophomore and the rest are freshman! That still got clobbered when it mattered
I remember seeing Big10 (Neb, Penn State, Wisc) out-tuff'ing Texas with serves. Now, this was returned and in spades. Congrats. Neb was talking about their freshmen but Texas actually have more frosh on their squad that Neb.
Much like the Houston Rockets 1995 team, seeded No.6, playing stonger each round, till they sweep the Orlando Magic in the final!
Texas v Tennessee was the real championship match. Absolutely pitiful showing from Nebraska, especially on a stage like that smh

Hats off to Nebraska, they were a young team and they made it to the national championship match. Unfortunately, Coach cooks attitude towards the transfer portal is going to limit their potential going forward, and Texas will reload with some more elite talent this off-season to replace the girls leaving.
Cook just doesn't want admit he's 'wrong'. Also, they had a FL transfer themselves. Reloading indeed - we got a former teammate from KY coming as well as another gal from Nebraska.
nebraska needs more passing reps, my goodness, and they couldn't pick up majority of the tips, they folded under pressure, but next years they got a chance. Texas was very confident, and nebraska couldn't stop skinner.
Last year, all we heard was Nebraska was going to be taking over and winning it with a super team. Just as they are going to train for next year, so are ALL the other teams! Everyone's got a chance, too!

I was stunned watching. Hard to understand how so mismatched. Texas completely dominated
It’s because of Texas’ use of the transfer portal in conjunction with NIL. Coach Elliott hit the transfer portal like a freight train in 2021 and started building a literal dream team at Texas, surrounding Logan Eggleston with all star players like Madi Skinner, Sage Torres, and Zoe Fleck.
The fact that Nebraska head coach Cook essentially said that he doesn’t want to build a team using the portal and only wants high school recruits to develop blows my mind. Just like every other college sport, the transfer portal is essentially free agency and one of the best ways to find players to fill roles on your teams that will make your team more complete. Texas will find some more elite players to replace Asjia and the other seniors leaving after this season, and Nebraska will still have the same squad with mildly upgraded skills.

@@studiompodcastnetwork5119 Cook is being hypocritical. That team wouldn't have even been there without Beason who is a transfer from Florida and they have a few other transfers on their bench as well. Old head coaches are always the last to adapt and change and a lot of times it ends up being their downfall. We'll revisit in 3+ years and see if Cook still feels the same way or if Nebraska goes to the portal to find the talent and experience they need to win. My guess is the latter...
@@studiompodcastnetwork5119 Nebraska also uses the portal but not as effectively and that's why Neb coach is whining. It's the girls' desire to win and PLAY that produces portal transfers.

We had to replace our first second and third contacts! Our setter, libero & OH! The connection with the setter wasn’t there! She didn’t know how to run a fast paced offense
They were early games against very good teams. Coach Elliott did that on purpose.

Whoever the color commentator was for this game was obviously and blatantly pulling for Nebraska to win. Whenever we would score a point, she’d be quiet, but Nebraska scores a point and you’d think Lebron had dunked on Giannis AND Jokić by the way she’d shout her praises. Made me even more happy to see Texas dog-walk Nebraska 🤘🏼
I thought so as well, not professional at all in a national championship match, that is what also makes this win so sweet.. congrats to longhorns taking down 3 number one seeds, the last 2 seeds from the overrated Big Ten good to see them and their ego taken down a notch.. Nebraska had a great year give them credit.. on any given day who ever plays better that day wins..no more than that

Yesss even during the Wisconsin game at the semi. During one of the longest rally, they kept going on and on about Wisconsin during the rally. But after Texas won, they finally said something. I’m pretty sure last year Texas vs Louisville, they were biased as well. They wanted Louisville to win their first ever championship
Definitely pro-Nebraska commentating. I guess since this was supposed to be a coronation of “the best team all year” on national television, Texas kinda messed up their narrative. Sorry (not sorry) that Texas didn’t get the memo. 😎🤘🏽

Had there been a long delay for the championship game I’m not sure Texas would have so dominant. Texas found their groove at the right time and kept that momentum rolling

Horrible take. Texas beats Nebraska 10 times outta 10. As soon as Nebraska lost the first set, they never recovered and they could never get momentum back. The huskers are such a young team and they were so used to being the best team on the court, but they have never really dealt with this kind of adversity and fighting their way back after falling into a deficit.
Nah, Texas beat #1 Stanford, #1 Wisconsin, and now Nebraska. Texas threw all of the team off of system with serving. They also had an 11-0 with WI. Nebraska had no chance of beating Texas after the dominated the top teams
Man, Nebraska was ALL out of sorts, falling on the floor everywhere, watching balls fall to the floor, just out of their reach... That must have felt incredibly frustrating and demoralizing for EVERY Nebraska player. Definitely some nerves involved, not only for the freshmen, but for everyone else, it seems. Jurevicious is a fabulous and fierce hitter, it's a shame coach didn't prep her more to come in for Batenhorst, or even for Beason, who really had a weak hitting game. And considering all the hype around #1 draft pick Harper Murray, she's really the BIGGEST disappointment of the season for Neb. She's not an OH who can terminate for u, plain and simple. They should bring Jurevicious in with Krause and Batenhorst sharing the other OH spot.
Jurevicious was red-shirting this year, otherwise I'm sure he would have put her in for Ally in set 2.

WORST Sportsmanship I’ve ever seen from a v-ball player. Harper/Bekka? How can you be cocky & a sore loser at the same time? A loss hurts but this conf. made me feel for only Lexi, the respectful heart of the team Who handled it excellently. They should’ve let the freshy setter talk instead of Bekka (not a fan of her no more)

Nebraska can use all of the exudes they want from bragging about being a young team to now losing and that’s one of the reason they lost. Or almost shading Texas on what they were doing to their players, saying arena was cold, and having a bad day. I understand having a bad day but even if they were playing on their A game. There was no way that they were going to win because Texas beat #1 Stanford and #1 Wisconsin.
