Did you get all of the 6-packs from 1 source? It is a bummer, but at least you got a full set through determination! Even when "feelsies" were possible, I would still occasionally get doubles. If there were too many people staring or judging me, sometimes I would just grab a few randos and kick myself later.🤣

I guess I’m not the only one finding these CMF boxes open in the store with the head taken out. I actually will buy open ones if it’s one I’m looking for and it appears to be complete. I found out the hard way my She-Hulk didn’t have a head.
I bought 5 figures and two boxes got a bunch of harpys and mushrooms but a goat then I bought two more boxes and got a complete set in the boxes. So two goats woot. I also have two sealed original goats I paid 60 each for awhile back.

I didn't want to risk driving to a store and not finding goats, so I ordered 2 full sets from Brick Ninja on eBay for $63 each. I kept 13 and brought 11 into my local Bricks & Minifigs, and did not get good trade value for the runners, detectives, train kids or weight trainers. My younger kid loves the Mushroom Girl and both like the Harpy, as do I. My main theme is castle so I kept both of the Goat, Barb, and Knight instantly. I figure I will just order a 3rd set, and keep them all. Each goat is $15, Barbarian & Harpy are $8-$10, Knight $12-$15. The detective is better than I gave him credit for. Worth another set for a 3rd goat, just to avoid paying retail later.
Personally I feel that it was always a poor act of faith towards the fan base that these sets were blind bags (and yes I'm aware that you could feel the bags) but basically it is a way to get people to buy product they don't want. Having said that I think the civilian figures have been killing these for a while, so many slots have been taken up with gamers and drone operators and influencers and programmers and gardeners and dog trainers. Pretty much every mid sized set has a couple of civilians, the cmf slots should be saved for crazy characters.
Last time I was at the lego store, they had a small glass case with opened up CMFs that you could trade for if you bought a CMF, opened it up and didn't want it (I don't know if that's a regular thing, it's the first time I've seen that). I wasn't familar with the latest wave (thanks for this video!), but the small selection they had didn't make me go ooh and aah (at the time they had multiple of the gamer girl, the paraplegic athlete, and one other that I can't remember).

Right. “Waaaah I want to cheat!” They're blind bags. Otherwise they could just sell figures and not bother making a blind series. It's like the happy meal toys. You didn't always get the one you wanted, but you could trade with siblings/friends/classmates.
