This is an Original! written by Tim and Chris Chatham I believe. He did a solo recording of this about 10 years ago and Home Free when theybput together their latest album convinced him to use it as the title track. You just want to listen to every song so you can put them on your playlist....teehee good strategy.
@@SauceyDad IMHO there are two groups which represent the absolute pinnacle of a capella musicianship, Home Free and Pentatonix. Now that you are a Home Fry, it is now time to begin the conversion to a Pentafry (Pentaholic+Home Fry). 3-time Grammy winning Pentatonix won the show 'The SIng Off' the season before HF won. Between the two they revolutionized the art form. Both perform a variety of genres, while HF is grounded in the country side, Pentatonix (PTX) is more on the pop/R&B/EDM part pf the spectrum. As an entre into PTX I would suggest 3 songs after which you will be hooked. 'Hallelujah' (most popular video w/ 600+ million views), 'Daft Punk' (1st Grammy), and 'Imagine' (wonderful interpretation of the John Lennon classic). Luckily we are entering the holdays which PYX absolutely rules with the best-selling Christmas albums for the past 9 years and 80+ Christmas videos available to choose from. Once the shock of how good they are wanes, check out their most recent release of 'The Prayer'. It is nothing short of stunning.
@@jayholland2632 I would agree with Home Free and Pentatonix being at the pinnacle. Still, I would put VoicePlay right there with them. All three of them are absolutely amazing.
@@SauceyDad I’m so glad you found them and you’re a Home Fry now. You have to listen to God bless the USA, American Pie, MOST IMPORTANT go rest high on that mountain!!!!! How great thou art, helplessly hoping!!!
Yes it's an original written by Tim ( Foust ) and Chris Chatham. This is such a great song and video! There is a version of Tim singing this solo with Instruments. I'm pretty sure it's on RUclips. Tim had been holding onto it for many years with Austin asking many times to let them do it. He finally gave in! Don't you want to be with these guys during some of the great times they have?
I know what you mean about relatability. Their song "Good Ol Boy Good Time" makes me think of my family get togethers in the summer hanging out at the lake, cooking great food and just laughing! Which btw, is another good one you should listen to. You truthfully cannot go wrong with these guys. Just go to their channel, randomly select a music video and you will be on one hell of a ride!
Home Free's entire library of roughly 150 songs are all great. Their version of God Bless The USA with Lee Greenwood, the US Air Force band and Singing Sargents, is better than the original.
I swear Austin would go fishing 🎣in a mud puddle. Reminds me of my dad's love of fishing. Lol.🤣 Love this original that they did. They always have so much fun when they're together. ❤ Wonderful vocals and of course Adam holding down the beat.
Listen at those drum beats! Everything about this is fantastic! The vocals of each one of the guy's is so on point! Love the sound Adam did that you just replayed! Austin and his last high note! The focus was great, very clear! Oh yeah we do have an idea of how excited you are! We have been there and still are there now and will continue to be there for our AMAZING favorite guy's! Glad you loved it! So excited that I get to see HF for the first time in 15 days! May I request " END OF THE ROAD " " TRY EVERYTHING " Thank you for reacting, I appreciate you very much new Home Fry!❤️😘🇺🇲
YEEESSSS!!!! 😁🤗❣💕🍻🍻 This one is an original written by Tim Foust and Chris Chatham!🥰 you are learning, you're a Home tot right now! 🤣 Just wait till you get to their Christmas songs! Amazing!!
This is your first original song by HF. If you think you are ready for Holiday songs, I'd like to suggest one. Do You Hear What I Hear (the official video, not the church session) I think is their most visually and vocally stunning Holiday song. I'm sure others may have a different favorite, so I guess you will eventually have to watch them all and decide which is your favorite.
To see how much fun they have together try..Good ole Boy Goodtime....Hillbilly Bone....Summer in the Country. They really are great friends and have their family, wife's and friends in some of their videos. Love your reactions. Your a pretty good ventriloquist also. Tell Jeff Hi..
I am really enjoying your trip down this rabbit hole, and you have a long way to go, and you will enjoy it! One of my favourite originals is Catch me if you can, would love to see you react to that one. Another fun one might be the Sea Shanty Medley, you may fall off your chair with Adam's castanets!
I work night shift and I've gotten up early and ready to go two days in a row excited for your home free reactions for the day. Thank you for enjoying them with us! Also I didn't even notice the focus issue until you mentioned it, don't worry about it you will get it worked out.
I think the dogs and the Jeep belong to the person who owns the land! It’s an original by Tim and Chris Chatham! Also it’s the name of their last album! Thanks for your reaction!
Love your reactions! Another great original where they get together with family and friends is Good Ol' Boy Good Time! Congrats on 6k subs...you deserve it!
Great reaction ... welcome to the wacky world of the Home Free guys ... try some of their fun songs (Butts Medley , Hillbilly Bone , etc. ) to get an idea of their personalities !! You may just find you'll love their country music !!
Yes it is an original as everyone says. The boys in this video are.. (red hair) Austin Brown, (beard) Rob, Adam chance of course Tim and Adam Rupp. Your learning! Keep it up!
Now that you've been around the block with a capella quintets, I think you'll agree - PTX is the group you'd bring home to meet Mom and Dad; Home Free is the group you want to party with (tailgate or backyard BBQ); and VoicePlay is the group you want to go with to a movie or theatrical production (They'd turn a Broadway musical into a sing-along, and/or just highjack the stage).
Other HF originals I know are Good Ol' Country Harmony; Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget [w/ a walk on cameo of another A Capella group's member] and Cross That Bridge. Songs with Adam Chance has solo or main lead vocals; Blue Ain't Your Color, YOURS, Cover Me Up [must watch the outro], I Can't Outrun You, [among others]. Thanks for reacting, Ciao!
Another great reaction! They have been adding more original music to their catalog. There are some holiday originals from the album that they released last Christmas, Warmest Winter. I have noticed that Tim always seems to share the deep parts with Adam Chance. Snow Globe is a good example. You mentioned that you have three children. Tim calls them the Small Fries. Try Everything, from Zootopia was Chance's first video and was dedicated to the Small Fries. Cold Hard Cash is another great one for the kids too.
Gotta agree with you about the Jeep. I want that Jeep!! You may already know, but "Land of the Free" is the title track of their latest album. It has a patriotic theme & most of the tracks are available as videos. "Brothers in Arms" is on the album. Check out their version of "My Country Tis of Thee" (which is also on the album).
New subscriber here! "Land of the Free" & "Catch Me If You Can" are my 2 favorite Home Free originals! "How Great Thou Art" & "Mayday" are my favorite cover songs, but you need to wait awhile to react to "Mayday" after you learn who they all are & what they do! Love your reactions to "our guys"!❤ You have a LOT of catching up to do! 😊 As long as you keep up the Home Free reactions & add in John Farnham LIVE videos, I'll be a very happy Saucey fan! 😁😍
New subscriber here. You are my new favorite reactor. I enjoy watching you becoming mystified by the talented Home Free band. They are hilarious, goofy, phenomenal and are just awesome 👌 👏. They got me through quarantine. They are just special. If you want to see their hilarious side, watch The Butt's Medley, Country Fried Pop Medley, And Guilty Pleasure Hilariously Derailed. Check out Home Free with Don McLean doing American Pie and Peter Hollen doing Amazing Grace. It seems like you have been smitten by the Home Free bug. Don't worry you won't need any drugs except a good dose of more Home Free music 🎶. You said they could all have solo career, they have their own channels with solo videos. Enjoy the Home Free journey. The fries 🍟 will be right there with you. I love your reactions.
I couldn’t agree more, just great friends having fun, extremely talented friends, but still folks you would love to hang out with! I would love for you to do When a man loves a woman, it’s amazing and Mayday, Hillbilly Bone, Seven Bridges Road, so many good choices! Catch you at the next reaction! 🤗👍❤️
Check out Tim Foust blows speakers. Look at the one that’s at least 4 minutes long 🤣🤣🤣🥰 Adam Chance is the short one. Adam Rupp is the taller one- beatboxer freak of nature 🥰🥰
I absolutely love your reaction videos. I have been blown away with home free for over 5 years and I still can't get over how great they are as a group and individually. You do a great job of expressing how awesome they really are!!
Some other originals written by various members of the group are "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget", "Snowglobe", "Good Old Boys' Good Time" and...dang it, I forgot the name of it. It's the one where their schoolboy selves start the group and come up with the name..hopefully one of my fellow fries can comment and leave the name of the song.
If you want to see and hear it all, get settled in. Home Free are some of the hardest working guys in music. They generally release two videos per month on their channel. Then you have about another 15 solo projects per year. On top of that there are another dozen collaborations with their friends, Peter Hollens, Chris Rupp, and The Hound and The Fox. Tim and Rob even made appearances in VoicePlay videos in the past year. Over 50 videos a year.
I love these kind of videos; them just hanging out with good music. They're always my favs! Another one of them just having fun is, "Good Ole Boy Good Time". Another Tim original.
Love your reactions and welcome to the Home Fries! When you get around to doing their Christmas stuff I would like request a lesser known live version of them doing Joy to the World, here is the link: ruclips.net/video/uCWbYNeQVng/видео.html
They are so awesome aren’t they. Yes this is an original from Tim. And it was Adam Chance “Chance “. My favorite song along with can’t stop the feeling. What a great reaction again!!!!!
Gentle reminder Sweet Saucey, please react to Austen singing Unchained Melody, When a Man Loves a Woman, and Tears in Heaven. Total brilliance! Also react to Tim and Austin singing My Maria. Wonderful!! Sandy in Palm Springs.
Check out Austin’s original song Earn It on his page. There are clips of Tim singing and playing piano on his page too. Oooh check out Austin singing Neon Moon and tears in heaven! The later is a tear jerker! This guys work so beautifully together and support each other’s solo stuff. It’s all beautiful. Ohh yeah check out Home free in the blood and what we ain’t got! 🥰🥰🔥🔥🔥
You are my favorite reactor!! You are awesome. Home Free nailed it again. Sounds awesome and I can't get it out of my head. As far as the video goes it is (dare I say it?) HOT. It is one big testosterone party. The jeep, the cooking out, the flag, the fishing, the beverages, the fire works and five handsome hunks. I'm a fan of men. Probably because I've only ever had wonderful experiences with the testosterone crew. Adam especially making my heart flutter. YES!
There are lots of clips online from their live shows. You should check out the derailment clips - like Austin forgets the words to Colder Weather and one Adam Rupp are a dog biscuit on stage 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is a Tim Foust original, he wrote that song with his friend Chris I believe for his solo album. Three of these guys are from the South and two are from Minnesota. It is really fun watching you watch them. Did you buy chance know that this group was started way back in 2000 by Chris Rupp? It has gone through many different people the only original person left is Adam Rupp the beatboxer. You should check out their time on the TV show The Sing Off from 2013.
You might want to check out some of their Home Away From Home series. It's sort of a behind the scenes thing they do. As fantastic as they are musically, they are also genuinely likeable, funny guys and it's fun to get more of a sense of who they are. At least for me. But of course you have to grow that playlist so in the spirit of doing that I'll suggest two of my favorites: Take Me Home Country Roads and Can't Stop the Feeling.
The Jeep rig belongs to a friend of theirs. But, a lot of us would Love to have it 🔥‼️ If you look up their “DIVE BAR SAINTS” CD……most of the songs are their Originals 🥰🔥‼️💥 Another fun one…”HILLYBILLY BONE”…..is GREAT FUN 🥰🔥‼️❤️🤪😋
SauceyDad...I just found you on my recommended list today. I've listened to all your Home Free reactions and subbed after the first one. Welcome to the Home Fries! It's highly amusing and also gratifying seeing someone fall under their spell. You have hit some good ones so far. I would make one request. Do not listen to their cover of "Mayday" until you get a few more under your belt, such as HillBilly Bone and The Butts Medley.
If you want to hear and see the talented life long friend of Tim’s, Chris Chatham, who co wrote this with Tim, do a solo piece cover with Austin called My Maria. It is killer good!
I'm just catching up on your older reactions to Home Free, as well as looking forward to new ones, and I just wanted to say that these guys were used to spending most of their lives together, touring, and then the pandemic and they were separated for 8 months, came together to make a Christmas special, and then didn't see each other again for another nearly 6 months. This wasn't just a celebration of patriotism, though it was that, it was celebrating getting the family back together.
this is a original and a fun video plus a pretty song! you should check out summer in the country! it is another song and video along the same lines. also as a military adjacent member you should checkout there version of traveling solider,
I’ve watched a few of your reactions…..a few suggestions that I don’t think has been put out there….ring of fire (sing off ) mayday….misty mountains (Tim Foust and Peter Hollins)
Great reaction love it. If you're smart Adam Rupp is called Adam and Adam Chance is called Chance easier ti keep them straight. If you want funny try Tim Fousts original Champagne taste on a beer budget. I know you like Tim's bass listen to live video Home Free Morrison Illinois Concert 8/19/15 it's amazing
My opinion (fellow Maine resident speaking): not yet time for Mayday until you can get all their names right(grin.) I think for other party songs Hillbilly Bone and Friends in Low Places, maybe Honky Tonk Since you said you aren't religious I won't recommend any of those(although you would probably appreciate the Austria mountains in How Great Thou Art video.) For great 5part harmonies: Helplessly Hoping and Auld Lang Syne. For pure FUN: 9 to 5, Butts Remix, All About That Bass. For heart-tugging emotion: Traveling Soldier, Castle on a Hill, One Voice THEN Mayday and Snow Globe And classics: Seven Bridges Road, Elvira, (evil grin) Bohemian Rhapsody (don't nobody tell him why I have the evil grin......)
I am new to your channel I love your personality. Love that you react to 2 of my favorites things The paranormal and Home Free. Found you by your latest Adam Rupp drum solo vod and had to binge watch the rest . Austin Brown (high tenor) has a channel where he does some solo projects Would you please consider reacting to his cover of Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton. It would be a great early birthday present for this granny 😊
Saucey, I hope the number one spot on your playlist is not written in stone, because - just a warning here - that spot will change many times yet as you progress through Home Free's repertoire.
It's so good to hear from a group who proudly show where they stand.

Need to listen to Mayday which will mess with your head coz Tim sings high and The Butts Remix which is funny as hell. Love Ya
The Jeep rig belongs to a friend of theirs. But, a lot of us would Love to have it 🔥‼️
If you look up their “DIVE BAR SAINTS” CD……most of the songs are their Originals 🥰🔥‼️💥
Another fun one…”HILLYBILLY BONE”…..is GREAT FUN 🥰🔥‼️❤️🤪😋
Champagne Taste On Beer Budget, Full Of Cheer, Snow Globe are original, I’m sure there’s more, but I can’t think right now.
I believe, what do you guys think, is he ready for May Day? End of the Road? When a Man Loves a Woman? Helplessly Hoping? My Church?
Yes to all BUT Mayday....hold off on that one for a few...let it breathe first :)
@@wirelessmikedj7784 Totally agree, leave that one to simmer a while
If you want to hear and see the talented life long friend of Tim’s, Chris Chatham, who co wrote this with Tim, do a solo piece cover with Austin called My Maria. It is killer good!
You like this you should check out only in America 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You will enjoy Hillbilly Bone then as well...for that party feel.
You should check out another original Good Ole Boy Good Time. It's so much fun.
Tim Foust and Chris Chatham wrote this song and it is an original .
Written by Tim and Chris
Musta been in Texas. We don't put sauce on our BBQ because it tastes amazing w/o it.
Seriously, I'm sure your invite got lost... 😆
THIS SONG IS AN ORIGINAL!!!!!!!!!! The guy pointing at you is ADAM CHANCE
❤🇺🇸
American Pie is my Favorite cover by HF.
Their Dive Bar Saints is original music.
My opinion (fellow Maine resident speaking): not yet time for Mayday until you can get all their names right(grin.)
I think for other party songs Hillbilly Bone and Friends in Low Places, maybe Honky Tonk
Since you said you aren't religious I won't recommend any of those(although you would probably appreciate the Austria mountains in How Great Thou Art video.)
For great 5part harmonies: Helplessly Hoping and Auld Lang Syne.
For pure FUN: 9 to 5, Butts Remix, All About That Bass.
For heart-tugging emotion: Traveling Soldier, Castle on a Hill, One Voice
THEN Mayday and Snow Globe
And classics: Seven Bridges Road, Elvira, (evil grin) Bohemian Rhapsody (don't nobody tell him why I have the evil grin......)
Oh, and one that showcases all of them... American Pie
Check out Hillbilly Bone
