I like how eloquent Tim's speeches or observations can be. I think he brought the perfect amount of heartfelt sadness and humour, and I love that he's not afraid to show how he feels. I definitely felt some tears coming up when I first saw this, so no shame to anyone for feeling sad when they see this. It was the end of an era, but I am glad that Home Free was able to go on and continue to make great music. Some bands just fall apart when one member leaves, especially someone who was an integral part in all aspects of their music.
Tim comes across as grumpy and stoic but he is a very kind and sensitive man. He genuinely cares about people. I saw his induction in the Gulf Coast Hall of Fame and it was the same way. He is what my husband calls an Iron Marshmallow. Rough and strong on the outside but soft on the inside. But that is a good thing! What gets me through watching this is knowing that they all still see each other....collabs and golfing excursions and working on the video of the history of Home Free. If you ever want to branch out, you should check out some of Chris's stuff on his channel. He does solo work, work with a new a capella group (Cypress Fyre), helps out with his sister's group and does work with various other artists. (And yes, the Rupp family produced 3 singing kids! You can see their sister in the Rockin' Robin video Chris recently put out with Rob jumping in with his amazing whistle!) Maybe you need to choose one day a week to be a "new" music day? Then you can check out some of the other smaller groups or the guys solo work on that day? Just an idea.
It was such an emotional weekend. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theater during Tim's speech. I know I was crying. So many Fries have formed lasting friendships through Home Free. Even though we lived in different states. If Chris hadn't stuck with his dream we would never have met. Butterfly effect indeed.
Music can be powerful. Laughter, tears, melancholy...while Home Free does all that, the biggest blessing are the men who make that Music. Their unique personalities, talent and relationships with their fans and each other sustained for years - like no other, for me anyways. I am not young, and Music has been a powerful force in my life. Home Free came into my world during lockdown, and all the above kept me smiling and hopeful. And that is their gift to me.
I think this show says lot about this group. Can’t imagine what it took for Tim to sit and put pen to paper for those words. Chris deserved this tribute. When someone life’s passion brings joy to so many people it is yes, a butterfly effect and continues to be so. When you think about what if’s……one of the lines in a song Tim wrote: could haves, should haves, what if’s. I made a huge decision to leave a job of 23 years that went from stress to suffering for many reasons and chose to leave and find something that I could thrive at again. I was tired of missing important things cause work came first….I have fewer years ahead of me than I do behind me and I want to make them count. I get Chris leaving to do solo projects…. I appreciate so much someone’s ability to have the emotional honesty to speak such heart filled words.
Home free has made me think twice before I speak. Lol they really are kind and caring people ❤ they don't spread hate, they love everyone. Don't be afraid to cry we love you more for it 😉
You know, you remind me of my son, he too has a hard time with tears. Finally saw him cry when my son-in-law and his best friend went off to Iraq and again when his son was born. Their is no shame in a man's tears. Shows me your human and a caring soul. I love that Tim can talk and cry at the same time. I think everyone wanted to hug Tim with this one. Love your laughter and always your reactions. ❤
My oldest son lives in Georgia, and tonight Home Free is in Atlanta. My son turned 42 yesterday, so his birthday gift was he and his wife got Vip meet and great tickets to tonights show. I am so Happy for him. I live in NH so it was not like he could say Dad want to go with us. haha i just felt the need to share that. Home Free has touched many people, and it was all because Chris had a dream and went after it.
❤️ No shame in tears. My dad passed away in June. He was the best guy - always quick with a joke, and loving to all. And he had no problem showing tears from time to time. I loved his sincerity.
Really a moving tribute to Chris by Tim and the guys. Your reaction mirrors mine.... I am new to Home Free and am so glad I discovered them. They are good medicine. Thanks for your reactions.
SauceyDad....do not ever explain or deny your softness and your heart. You are a vey great reactor and you will continue to do so. As a woman who could be your mother, the "Dad:" card does not mean not to cry in front of your children. They will learn from it and become more sensitive to "People"......as you say, you know people but so do I. I can see through to your heart and it is huge. THe man card also means that you can be vulnerable,.......teach your children well.....an old song by Crosby Still and Nash. It is a beautiful song as I believe you are beautiful inside your heart. Be yourself and be proud...Carole
Congratulations young manly man, allowing yourself to be emotionally disarmed and not even trying to hide your vulnerability shows your true strength. Thank you for sharing.
And the song that was sung immediately following this was also a tear jerker - Chris wrote it several years ago as a tribute to a friend, and it fits this situation perfectly! Great reaction. I didn't watch last night, so I don't know where the emotions started. But HF dropped their video for Mary, Did You Know this afternoon, and it's absolutely fantastic.
There's another reactor whose videos I watch frequently, and he is brought to tears a lot of the time while reacting to numerous videos of Home Free (and very likely other artists/groups). I seem to be able to cry at the drop of a hat, so I probably should just keep my yap shut (this video gets those ninja onions having a parade all around me and the waterworks come on strong in this one), but Home Free's music has touched my soul so many times, I will never be ashamed of my tears or laughter because of them, nor should you ever be.
I came to this reaction a little late. (Covid booster left me a little sore, but slept great. Only a slightly sore arm). Anyway seeing Tim do this tribute to Chris is still a bit teary, but not as much now. Really good reaction to a sad goodbye. Thanks so much. You did fine.
This was both a sad and happy show/weekend. I flew down to attend Chris' last shows and the Patreon party the next night. So many great memories & many lost braincells from the bar this night after the show.
"Saucey Bosse", you are such a sweet lunatic & I love it! 🤪❤ Thank you for sharing your heartfelt thoughts with us! I found you about the same time you found Home Free & I'm so glad I did! 😊😘
@@tarjaikola he already saw the "Tim Runs His Mouth" video which was from the Patreon party the following day, and Tim gives the game away half-way through!
Tim really does have a soft heart. He may come across as a tough person on the outside but I like how he is not afraid to show his emotions. You can tell how heartfelt he was in what he said. He really loved & appreciated what Chris Rupp did for the group & it was a great tribute to him. My dad had a really tough outside exterior, but when you got to know him, you found out that he was very sensitive inside & music could make him very emotional.
First of all great reaction, proud of you that you were able to keep it together. I always break when I see it. Second, you should really watch Ring of fire from that show. just watch it. you'll thank me later. I'll just say, that show is not long after the Westboro baptist church has protested against their show in Kensas.
This is so sweet and touching. You can tell why Tim is such a good writer. Sorry you had an emotional time. You need some funny Home Free videos to pick you up. Try Full of Cheer, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, Cold Hard Cash. That might cheer you up. Good reaction Saucy!!!
Saucy D you have to let your kids see you have a range of emotions and how you deal with it so they can learn how to process their emotions. Very important to raise a generation of compassionate and loving people. With each generation we can chip away at the stigmas and turn ourselves into nice and tolerant humans.
Hey SaucyDad! Thanks for this reaction, and thanks for your perspectives on it. I really enjoy your work. One thing I would like to throw out there, it's okay for your kids to see you cry. Teach them that it's okay to cry. As someone a bit older than you, I'm just really tired of the strong, unemotional man sterotype. Emotions are human and they are necessary to be funtional. Life is going to throw really hard stuff at you, and sometimes the only thing you can do is cry, and grieve and let it all out. Scream at the trees. And then pick yourself up and get on with it. Feel free to ignore all that and do you, obviously. Love ya man. By the way, I was also one of the guys that hung in the parking lot in high school!
Chris, Adam and Rob still get together occasionally to play golf. Tim and Chris did a few collaboration since he moved on. They did The Long Black Train and Angel Among Us. Chris has done some reviews on The Butt's Medley, Elvira and All About The Bass. You can check those out
Thanks for this one....I had tears running before the video even started....I knew what was coming! For as silly as these guys can be....they sure know how to pull at the heartstrings too! That's why we love them so much!
Glad to see all of the sides you have to show bro. Feel like I've gained a friend in you throughout the time I've been watching you. Also feel like in a parallel way you described the way music has affected me from my youth until now.
Just some advice from an older wiser, woman. NEVER hide your emotions or tears from your children or other people who love you. It's good for them to see that Dad has a heart and feelings just like everyone else and that there's nothing wrong with crying. :)
Watching this from the UK while I eat my breakfast. I don't usually cry over breakfast. On another note, please check out Do You Hear What I Hear? It's a beautiful arrangement (by Adam Rupp) and the video (which has had over 8 million views) is just magical. Also I only just found a video they produced called 'Quarantine' which is funny and cute and you get to hear Adam Rupp sing! Yes I have a huge crush on Adam Rupp. You might want to have a look at this - it's by far and away the best video of the drum solo I've seen, the audio is so clear and it's brilliant. ruclips.net/video/nk9h2WhBuoY/видео.html Have a good day x
Dignity ?! SauceyDad believe me the Most Dignified thing a Human Being can ever do is Knowing when to share the tears be they joyful or in sorrow. Most people need that.
Please watch this Concert in its entirety it's a long one too, about an hour and half, because Daddy Austin and mainly all of them have the best time ❤ 🤣 This group has seriously given my life a chance to laugh again too! No more hints and no skipping around if you do watch this specific concert , you won't regret it! I PROMISE!
Like someone mentioned below, review Chris Rupp and Home Free's Moving On video. I always get a laugh when watching your reviews. Thanks for doing a great job!
Oh my I loved it. You really made it one heck of a show for me. I was crying and when you busted out laughing I had to back it up to see what I missed. Thanks for that great heartfelt reaction. Loved it. 😢 ❤
Men only have 3 basic hair styles. Parted, unparted and departed 😉 And for the record, men who are not afraid of showing their emotions are stronger than those who don't. Imo. Thanks for watching this with us. X
And Saucey Dad you know that there are LOTS of women who REALLY LOVE men who can show emotion by crying and have an oh so smooth sexy bald head! Nothing too personal here, I'm old enough to be your mom and I have a grannyfan crush on Tim. Thought you might need a little chuckle! Or at least a wee wittle smile! We love you and are really thankful for all you are doing for our favorite guy's! We are so very glad that you are a Home Fry!♥️🍟
You might be interested in the videos on the history of HF (two so far), consisting of discussion between Chris, Adam and their first lead tenor Matt. Episode 2 dropped recently. It throws new light on Adam, who was not just dragged along but was at least equally responsible for the dire work of getting gigs etc and talks about how hard it was to keep on in the face of rejection. Episode 3 will presumably move on to the Foust era.
I'm just getting caught up on your videos from the past few weeks as I've dealt with life trying to kick my ass. Might I suggest you listen to the song Movin' On by Chris Rupp with Home Free (not his solo version). He wrote it about leaving the group but you'll probably need some tissues nearby if you've recently lost anyone. I just had it played at my moms funeral last week so it's close to my heart right now. 😥
Home Free and VoicePlay = my sanity. Nick, no shame in showing your emotion. I have avoided watching this for awhile since as soon as I saw Tim crying, I noped out. I hope I don't cry in front of Tim. Their music has been a saving grace since my dad died 2 years ago. I'm crying now. 😢
I have seen this a couple times now and cry every time. These guys are all just amazing. I really appreciate the way you are honest with your reactions. Some of them out there are very over the top and you just react truly. Love your additional stories as well. Take care of yourself!
@SauceyDad, you know how you felt when you knew that Adam Rupp saw your reaction? That’s how knowing my comment was read by you feels to me. 🤩 Just sayin. 💚
Not that my saying it will change your mind, but there’s no shame in heartfelt tears from anyone. Tears don’t measure strength, minimize it or sideline it. It’s a release and crying helps to balance you. I appreciate your notion, been around a while, but even Jesus wept (John 11:35), and there’s no stronger man than He. I appreciate your honesty here. Let your kids see your honesty too. Love in Christ.
Chris Rupp was the only member of Home Free not mentioned by the judges on the Sing Off. It made me feel a little sick as I watched each performance. His voice had no outstanding attributes: not Tim's ridiculous bass or Rob's sound of angels or Austin's energy and high tenor or his own brother's insane ability to carry the beat. But he not only sang, he did most of their arrangements, which were amazing and I thought he should have received recognition.
He did it to himself by not singing lead even once...Look at Avi. He is as low as Tim if not lower but barely got much recognition compared to Tim cause he had no leads.
For an outstanding performance where Austin just kills, check out When a Man Loves a Woman. For more fun, check out Never Gonna Give You Up ... Rob sings lead, and does it incredibly well.
Thanks for another great one! As for requests, here are some you might enjoy Home Free :Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Honey I'm Good ; Pentatonix : Can't Hold Us, Problem ; VoicePlay : Carry on Wayward Son, My Mother Told Me
Very well said, Mr. Saucey, very well said. That IS the power of music, and all the power in the human voice that really shines in these a cappella groups. I salute you with my coffee mug! (Since you like it strong, I'm curious: have you ever tried Death Wish coffee? You won't sleep for... maybe a week... but it's darned tasty.)
Thank you. This video and Chris’ song Movin On were 2 of the first Home Free videos I watched after hearing HF last winter. I ugly cried and became a Home Fry and Chrispie that night 😭. Please watch Chris’ video for Movin On with Home Free. I immediately subscribed to Chris Rupp’s channel, Chris Rupp Official. I listen to Chris Rupp’s and HF videos all the time. I’m so glad I saw this because it showed me the heart of Home Free. Love them. Chris and Tim have sone collaborations together and are both really funny! 😂 Chris Rupp Official: Permission to Dance is awesome! Home Free History on his channel is amazing!
Great reaction as always! Want to know more about Home Free history? Chris Rupp has released Episode 1. You can just watch it or react to, either is ok. It was very interesting to me since I found these guys last year. The History of Home Free - Episode 1 (ft Adam, Chris and Matt) ruclips.net/video/Ounzu9U8NNc/видео.html And the video of the worst day: Home Free History Throwback - in 2008 the Worst Night Ever ruclips.net/video/hf5ZIjWk5_I/видео.html
Tim is a REAL man. He's not afraid to show REAL feelings. That is STRENGHT that is something to admire in a man. I love this.💖💖💖 But what's worrying me is: First Cris leave the group, now Austin is leaving. Will this group dissappear in the end? Who's leave after Austin?🤔
I have become a huge fan of your channel (#307reacts is my happy place). When you said about the tears, I was reminded of my dad. He rarely cried.. when he did, it was big (my wedding day was a big one) but there was a song that he would leave the room once the first notes played. Give it a listen. Think you'll see why. It's by Jimmy Dean it's called Sleeping Beauty.
It’s always amazed me that music, a certain song, can instantly transport you to another time and place… Btw, if you get a chance, listen to PTX’s The Lucky Ones…the song, live on Kimmel…it’s pretty much the story of them as a group…
Those little sniffs of Tim in between...I wanted to hug him so bad.
Want to hug you too, but I'll leave it up to Sauceymom.
This would be a really good time to watch Between Two Tims because it it Tim's interview with Chance not too long after he joined HF.
Not to mention Saucy Dad would love it! Lol
He REALLY needs to watch this now !!!!!!!
Home Free is dropping another new song tomorrow. Mary Did You Know. Get some rest. Thanks for being you.
Chris have a song he performed with Home Free that night, Moving on, it's very touching and emotional. And Tim really have his heart in his sleeve
I absolutely 100% love that song-"Moving On".
Steel Magnolias quote: My favorite emotion is laughter through tears.
Bless your heart ❣😍 Tomorrow you NEED to laugh! Soooooooo........ All about that Bass cover. Or Good ol' boy good time ❣❣❣❣ love you😍😍😍😍

Congratulations young manly man, allowing yourself to be emotionally disarmed and not even trying to hide your vulnerability shows your true strength. Thank you for sharing.
Saucey Dad, I love your perspective on this video, the best 👌I have heard. I always get excited when you upload videos especially Home Free

Never ever apologize for showing emotion!
Oh, and react to their original song, Dreamer.
You need to watch more of the end of this concert. This makes me cry absolutely every time. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction.
Watched this when it was first on, still brings a year or three.
At least Chris picked a great addition, not replacement,
Thanks for your honest and heartfelt reaction. It is wonderful and amazing that they continued after Chris left. They are so amazing!!
After finding them last year they are my go to group to listen to and watch in my opinion they are the best out their and love them all.

The very last bit of that concert was also brilliant and hilarious. The end of Ring of Fire... "If you know, you know"! 😂
I was scrolling to see if this was suggested.. It is a MUST!

This just goes to show how much emotion Tim feels. It’s those feelings make him a great song writer.
A man who has a heart and shows emotions is a great man! A brave man isn't afraid to show emotions! You are a great man!
I flew from Houston to Minneapolis for this show, and the Patreon show the next night. Was sad and funny at the same time. Great mothers day weekend!

Did see the entire concert yet ? Curious cause it's awesome 👌 😎
Like someone mentioned below, review Chris Rupp and Home Free's Moving On video. I always get a laugh when watching your reviews. Thanks for doing a great job!

After seeing that you need to see his last recorded song with them. It is "Movin on"

Damn..guess I must be weak for not forcing myself to cry at everything..lol
Departed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love it Christina!!!
Suck it up buttercup, everyone cries. If they don't they are dead inside. No shame in feeling emotions. It proves you have a heart.
I am glad I found your channel. You have a beautiful soul, let it shine sweetheart.
Home Free also did "Amazing Grace" in a Collab with Peter Hollens! You should check it out as well.
HF has a video that shows them getting together as kids in school to perform. I can't remember the title of the song but it was cute.
I love to see your reactionvideos about Home Free.
Love me some Tim. He is so cool.
This was a sad moment.😢
Oooooo now THAT sounds like what the doctor ordered!!! Where do I find that!? And thanks a lot my friend 😊
@@SauceyDad Thought I replied to this -- sorry if you get it twice. They have their own store site, and it's on Amazon too.
Hey Saucey Dad,
Please react to Home Free “Oops / Thinking Out Loud / Let’s Get It On Mashup Live
Now, after watching that, you need to find the end of that show... Something very surprising happens..
Let's face it. Getting through the cov** bs would have been so much tougher if we home fries hadn't found this group.
I'm not laughing at you. Im laughing with you.
You don't think any the worse for Tim letting his emotions out, so why should we be down on you. Please show tears to your kids. Nana Karen UK
Tim is a REAL man. He's not afraid to show REAL feelings. That is STRENGHT that is something to admire in a man.
I love this.💖💖💖
But what's worrying me is:
First Cris leave the group, now Austin is leaving.
I frequently heard this growing up! It's great!!
I tink it was PTX is the geeky kids, VP is the theater kids, and HF the kids in the parking lot.
It’s always amazed me that music, a certain song, can instantly transport you to another time and place…
Btw, if you get a chance, listen to PTX’s The Lucky Ones…the song, live on Kimmel…it’s pretty much the story of them as a group…
Watch the whole thing.
Take a listen to Home Free doing an Original song called SNOW GLOBE it very cool
Check out Tim’s interview posted today on Charismatic Voice channel 🤣🥰
😥That was hard to watch! ❤
The blue bag at his feet is a cooler of beer.
Just wait till you watch when Avi leaves pentatonix...have tissues ready.
Chris and Adam started the group 21 yrs ago
Close your eyes and don't look at them sweetie.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
If you want to see something happy and fun, react to Chris Rupp covering Permission to Dance. It’s a lot of fun.
