I have always thought that the Ranunculus pictures in the pattern were about the most unrepresentative, unflattering pictures I have ever seen. I can’t imagine why she ever chose those pictures. It took me almost a year to try this pattern because the pictures were so bad. I saw multiple people’s sweaters and couldn’t imagine that their beautiful sweaters were from that pattern. I have now made three!
Absuletly agree. I try not to be negative about someone’s work product but I couldn’t believe anyone would want to make and wear that sweater - until I saw Bobbi’s. Now I have a finished long sleeve one - I winged it to get straight sleeves, and I did decrease side stitches to get shaping - and I’m going to soon start a second.
Me too! I’m excited to try one now. Completely agree about those photos!
Bobbie- I love watching your pod casts. I look carefully on RUclips to find fellow knitters with the aesthetic I like. You hit the nail on the head. Love your colors and the projects that you make. I also have to tell you that after years of thinking that the only fibers to knit with are wool and wool combinations. I was sure wrong. I have ordered yarn from Lion Brand yarns and am so excited to make the Sophie shawl and also a sweater in Feels Like Aplaca. I will have to let you know how the projects come out. Again, thank you for your enthusiasm and laughter. I love anyone who can laugh at themselves. Have a great knitting day. Kathleen
I so look forward to your podcasts! I wait until my husband is out for awhile, I make a pot of tea and get out 2 cookies and sit down with my feet up and start the show. I always like the patterns you choose, your setting, even your little dog. But what I like most is that you make me feel like I am sitting down with a good friend for a lovely knitting visit. Thank you, Bobbi for your time and effort. You are very special.
Hello Sherrie! Thank you so much! You are so kind! You have made my day! I am knitting The Weekender Crew by Andrea Mowry. It’s a boxier fit which is a style I don’t usually knit. I hope you’re knitting and enjoying your day. Thank you so much for watching my little podcast and for taking the time to comment! 😊❤️
A blue toolkit would be perfect! I made my first Ranunculus for my granddaughter for her birthday. Now I want to make one for myself- just so many projects in the queue.
Port Angeles! Wow! I sailed up from Stockton CA on an Army landing craft. The vessel traffic between Port Angeles and Canada was overwhelming….add to the north/south traffic, the tremendously large tankers passing in and out of the straits of Juan De Fuca…..oh MY! It is a vivid memory.
The toolkit is very useful. Lots of items in it. Yellow would be easy to find in a knitting bag. Your Ranunculus is lovely, The color is perfect.
Blue toolkit Love seeing what you’ve knitted!
Yellow toolkit is fun. ANY color is wonderful. I am so inspired by your dk Ranunculas! I really want to go for it. And I agree, the Sophie scarf and shawl are really fun to knit. I've made both. The drawstring cowl is really cute too! And your sweater and everything else you make! Happy knitting!

We have a festival in Oregon coming up. It is Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. Oct. 14th and 15th.
It is at the fairgrounds in Albany Oregon. There will be a sheep show. Many vendors with fiber for spinning, and yarn for knitting, classes etc. People bring their wheels for spinning. So many fiber animals to see, Pygora, Mohair goats, Alpca, Llama, and many sheep breeds. Great weekend that gets little recognition.
The red toolkit and the blue toolkit are pretty!!

Love how you are not snobby about using some acrylic in your yarns. Saw a pattern I liked recently which it called for holding 4 (yes 4!) expensive yarns together. Looked beautiful...but my..the dollars!
Hello Sue! I was looking at a pattern the other day and it would have cost me $258.00 to knit the sweater with the suggested yarn. There’s no need to break the bank to enjoy knitting. I hear what you’re saying! Thank you so much for commenting and watching! Have a wonderful day! 😊❤️
