I love how this song has a lot of jokes but it still manages to have an inspiring message of self love
You know why I love this? Because as an aging woman you don't have to be in the entertainment industry to feel like you're becoming obsolete. And this song is a joyous way to embrace that we're aging and still awesome and worth it. Thank you! It might be from a comedy but it's awesome!!!

Idk if it's normal or not, but I went into kind of a mid-life crisis as my 40th birthday approached. Realizing I'm a living trope really didn't help (40, single, "too many" cats...) It's not like I went out banging 20 year olds or bought a flashy sports car (or any car. I'm too broke to afford more than my InvisiMobile that gets me nowhere) it was more internal....and a lot of experimenting with hair dye, wigs, eyeshadow and thrift store scores.
I'm now a few months away from 42. Not sure if I'm quite through the crisis yet (some days are better than others and I've settled on pink hair) but have been embracing the positives. Yeah, I'm still single, but it's been largely by choice for years (I'd rather be alone than with someone who treats me bad) and I can enjoy having pink things everywhere without some dude complaining that he feels like Ken in Barbie Land. It's just me, my daughter and my cats. Sometimes it sucks when there are some things I can't do on my own (my 10 year old is still too short and to help mount the TV to the wall, for example) but then I hear my married friends talking about their home lives....it's not exactly 5 stars for them, either.
Even if we won mega-millions, our lives might feel like 5 stars for a little while, but then the new reality creeps in and we realize it's still 4 stars, at best. Money and fame don't solve every problem. We'd still have problems, just a lack of closet and cupboard space probably wouldn't be one of them.
