Seems it is Suzuki's answer to mini at fraction of the cost , and I like it ... love the retro look to it ...it's different ( some will say ugly ) but that's where its charms lay , which makes it unique and desirable... much like the mini

You'll love it. I had one for a year as a driving instructor and fell in love with it. Passed it on to my niece now and she's smitten as are her parents 😁They find themselves using it more than their Mitsubishi Eclipse!! I chose it for its window space, comfort, Japanese build, running costs and FUN. They certainly are fun to drive and a pleasure to use on a daily basis. I'm now wanting it back!! 😆
@@henrybyrd5402 I had the CTV automatic and it has worked brilliantly from day one and makes good use of the engines power.Like all CVT's there's a small amount of whine but I found it totally unobtrusive. Ive used many CVT's in Honda Jazz's also, with total reliability. Many vehicles having well over 250,000km . They allow the engine to deliver its optimum torque at all times and make the Ignis feel very spritely. I highly recommend it but try one for yourself Henry and see what you think.

Mini cooper founder name is Sir Alec issigonis. Is name ignis related to Issigonis? But the purpose he made mini is to create cheap small good gasoline cunsumption car. Same with my ignis. I use this ignis in indonesia petrol tipe since 2018 that use AGS matic transmition that actualy manual transmition with computer so has only two pedal. Very valueble money car with price same as the cheapest toyota or daihatsu car in indonesia we get the Nexa car branded from suzuki in india. Imported to indonesia. Very top in gasoline consumption in indonesia 17 km/ L in trafic jam, quiet car , good looking exterior and nice interior design, we get extrem Air conditioner panel, LCD monitor music player JVC. I like using AGS transmition we can use manual that can fast aceleration in city and use automatic mode in highway. In maintanance fee and oil is 1/ 3 daihatsu or toyota. Body plat ignis is so thick, more thick than the highest price Toyota car Fortuner SUV. Ground clearence is high so match with the majority bad road in my country. Before i use Daihatsu Sirion hathback low ground clearance that often body repair because road condition. Since 2018 until now 40.000 km.
my brother owns petrol manual in india. in india we get a 1.2l 83 hp k12b engine. its superb to drive although the steering is vague. awesome car and surely a head turner because its very unique to look at. nothing like it.

I think it’s weird that of all markets Suzuki wouldn’t offer the awd model in Australia. I would definitely buy this car in Australia if they offered the awd model.
So you're comparing the boot size of the CX3 with the bottom cover to the Ignis with no cover and the rear bench slid all the way forward so nobody can sit in the rear? Good job. Fun looking car though, at the local dealership they had a couple Jimnys and one Ignis with snow plows fitted on them. Watching them clear the lot was more attention grabbing than the inflatable flailing arms guys.
Hamachingo you're wrong, the ignis has 260l capacity with seats in the normal position, when you slide them forward they becomes 360l backspace and, inexplicably how, you can still seat in the rear seats if you don't exceed 1.8m....
Alfonso Osorio Zuñiga today bought ignis 2017 because swift they said long wait and so many pre orders to fullfil. Premium plus did cost us more than 2018 swift with same variant.
Fortunately here we don't have that problem and I am decided for the swift because of its design and style but both are good cars and very similar in power and performance.

car is Like a investment, Ignis is a good looking car but it is light weighted. I took a test drive and found that it's push button placement is also wrong. here is a suggestion for you never search your dream car in showroom, because sales man always tries to make their own brand better. always search your dream car on roads. try to take reviews from on road.
I still own Suzuki Ignis since 2002 and yes it still look very modern cute aero little car, but this 2017 ahem... I do agreed rear look ugly it look outdated as 1980s. This car look unsafe for long country road...maybe I will get this 1 day ?
this car is tiny for the reviewer. that head room for him is like non existent, a small bump in the road will make his head touch the roof. This car is for short to mid height ppl. Good city car though.
tachas1984, I am 183 cm and have plenty of headroom in the back and in the front. For me it outperformed many cars, it is not all perfect but it suits me.
Here in the UK Suzuki offer a manual gearbox and all-wheel drive (plus we have the mild hybrid too). I wish Suzuki would offer the Boosterjet and did something to improve the ride.
3 years later... Very low sales in AUS. No European specs offered in AUS (AWD + hybrid) = no sales in AUS. Nothing special compared with, say $17500 Hyundai Accent Sport
@@R4T4T4T It's okay, it has a robust feeling to it,feels like driving an old 90's car, it has no comfort, no extras and feels like driving a can of beans, it's really cheap. This summer a brand new one used to cost around 18,000 Euro. Buy a 3-4 year old Toyota CHR instead - you would have tons of extras, a pretty decent small SUV and would have a 4,8-5 l/100km which is surreal.
Whatever you do, don't criticise the style of this vehicle, or make any comment regarding the dietary habits of any nation worldwide, you will be blasted from pillar to post, tagged as a racist and made to eat humble sushi.

5 speed that's just rude most offer 6 speed these days. Like the front end of the Ignis but the rear what the heck.
The styling has grown on me. I actually like the rear. Still needs improved suspension damping and travel and a more powerful engine.
