Quick break question, I have a new travel trailer, when I pulled it home three weeks ago brakes worked just fine. Hooked it up today all my lights, brake lights, blinkers, running lights, everything works but cannot get anything to work on the brakes. Check the fuse in my truck, have a towing package on my truck. Even when I pull the safety pin on the travel trailer I get nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciate it thanks
@@bobbyrebussini1466 mine were making a light friction like noise then went away after about a quarter mile. My ground wire on my main plug to truck I took apart today and seen the ground looked like the Statue of Liberty inside.. my truck recognized the trailer if I use a test light on the ground to the batter but when I remove the test light it says trailer fault wire and no trailer connected.
Having the same issues. I’m trying to figure out if this is a truck or trailer issue. Pulled the safety pin and got nothing from my trailer brakes. 2011 Chevy 2500hd. I connected a 7 pin tester and got nothing when I used the on board brake controller.
I have a question? My trailer has electric breaks. I used the trailer took it home work just fine. Went to hook up to it a few weeks later. Brakes locked up won't move and service trailer break light comes on the dash. Since i can't move it I haven't been able to find anyone willing to come fix it. And have no clue where to start.
Hey Bobby...I have one electric brake that goes forward w/ no problem, but when I go in reverse without even hitting the truck brake, the trailer tire drags (locks up). How do I fix that?
NEVER EVER buy a "cheap" trailer. Buy from a. Reputable brand... I've had my 18ft enclosed trailer from a certain company for almost 20 years now and never a single issue until now.
Not even a rubber grommet on through the frame, the manufacturers taking cheapness to a whole new level. Bastards!
Wicked annoying. The best trailer I ever saw built the whole harness was inside conduit
Thanks for the concise explanation, gotta fix mine
Great video. To the point. Thank you!
Had a similar issue where the wires running through the axle got frayed!
Found your video from our video we did👍
good video thanks
Thanks for the video
No problem!
Check all pivot joints for bands to move freely
We had this this weekend. Nice to know trailer wiring standards are such garbage. The fate of my family lies in a stupid 12v wire connection.
Very helpful video. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Why would my left brake be dragging too much? The hub gets a little hot. Plus the brake does not work. Right side is fine.
Thanks. Follow the wire and there’s the problem!
Did you have any indicators on your dashboard ?
Nope!

Same here literally
Are the brakes making noise

@@pbgct9259 did you ever figure it out?
Mine show they’re always on even when the pedals not pushed. Anyone know what that means.

It’s just locked up? I would go and pull the drum off see what’s going on. First check the emergency brake chit cut
