    The small detail's matter. I like how you were able to take time and label and protect the wires.

    I love aftermarket pre-planned equipment layouts. Grommets, looms and connectors to ensure 1. durability and 2. aesthetics! Excellent.

    Protip
    If you need the same group battery. But swapped poles?
    Look for the same battery PN but with an R on it.
    So group 31R would be the same battery as a group 31 but with swapped poles. 👌

    Hope y’all have fun on the adventure you are heading to.

    I see your using a breaker to keep power from depleting. I think that a breaker is great for shipping and security. I have one idea for you, on the fleet I maintain we have LVD's to keep the battery(s) from discharging all the way. Like when the driver forgets to turn off the lights. Works the same way as the breaker but is programable (some) and is always on just in case. Awesome build!! We cant wait to see it in action!

    Another useful tool for fishing cable are large zip ties. That is what a lot of car audio guys use to fish wire

    XO got the best overlanding fleet in the USA.. Love every rig you guys build. I'm sad to know ODIN (JT with PCOR canopy) belongs to someone else now... I thought you guys gonna keep ODIN for good since it's an amazing platform, however you guys being a Toyota freak it make a total sense. Love the new Tundra build and installing Alu-Cab system in Raven is a big bonus. Where's RUFIO the 4 runner?

    In the few videos I've watched so far you've frequently refered to the ham radios in the trucks. In most overlanding videos I watch it's usually frs/gmrs being used. Im guessing some or all of the main crew are hams since that seems to be the coms of choice ? --- --- Also LED lights are EASY to connect backwards. They probably wont work, but it's still easy to connect them that way. =) 73's

    Was there a reason you guys rigged the radio antenna on the hood? I'm about to install a VHF/UHF in my 2023 and was looking at going up on the roof but haven't found a worthwhile routing to get there

    • @appala
      @appala 5 месяцев назад

      Roof mount takes pretty much most of the roof unusable as it should be in the center. If you can do it on roof, that’s the best place of all places. Also, your height restrictions will increase a lot preventing them from using drive throughs etc. from what I have seen, their use case is to reach the cars in convoy and not 40 miles apart or further. Hood is a perfect place for them
