Found this video incredibly helpful as I’m considering whether it’s worth shelling out the extra cash for the PHEV version of the Escape.
Do you know if this can be used with an adapter on Tesla chargers?

Of course you can stop charging anytime. The manual also says it… „until charging STOPS or is complete“. Just press the button while the car is unlocked.

Thanks for your comment. That is how we interpreted it. It stops when charging has completed. We did not want to encourage people to unplug when not completely charging to avoid liability by giving the wrong advice. But since the filming of this clip. We have disrupted the charge and disconnected mid charge with no damage or fault codes.

Very helpful review. Our own PHEV Escape will arrive in 2 weeks. I can't wait to 'gain the system' for great mileage.

Hi there. Have got my Escape down to 1.7litre per 100km. I just try driving as smoothly as possible (no excessive acceleration) and try to get 100% return when braking. Also to, after fully charging ( 7 hours) it shows I can go 76km on electric.

Hello, I am French and I have had a Ford Puma for a few months, but it is a little too small for my size and to transport my family. So I ordered a phev escape (in France it's not called escape but kuga) I think it's going to be a good experience for fuel savings and comfort. thank you for this video.

I recently bought the Ford PHEV. I was using it on Normal mode and took it on highway for about an hour drive recently (about 80km distance). It used up the battery and didn’t switch to engine mode even at high speeds. Any ideas why?

Very good. Maybe the fuel milage will improve over time as the car is new.
Make a video in six months and see what the outcome is.

Why can't I find any information on the efficiency of the EV Charge Mode? How many kWh does a gallon of gas generate, in EV Charge Mode?

2 hours? I thought it was minimum 3,5 hours for a full charge.
