Thank you. What a outstanding explanation on how to fish plastics and what to expect when fish bite. If you ever decide to teach some rookies how to fish on the water, I would like to be first.
Snagged the, "Power Finesse", from American Legacy Fishing during their last St. Croix sale. Pairing it with a Curado K. I haven't had the chance to go out and throw it yet but I am very curious to see how it feels. I am thinking about using it as my bottom contact rod since I typically only get to fish ponds and banks due to travel. Stuff like 3/8oz jigs, worms, T-rigs, etc. I am really trying to dial in my set-ups since being on the road full-time means keeping a limited arsenal. Thanks for the content and keep hammering em Joe. Tight lines!
The Power Finesse will work well for you casting baits 3/8ox and bigger. I had a hard time casting 1/4oz baits. But I can sure pitch 1/4oz baits with that rod. I'm not sure if the X-Fast tip is too fast for fishing heavy jigs. 1/2oz-1oz football jigs have so much leverage when the fish jumps that the X-Fast tip responds so fast, it may help shake the jig free. But Texas Rig or Free Rig should work just fine. (My humble opinion.)
Osp hunts jig pitching and flipping has been great for me its compact heavy weed gaurd to get it out of the thick stuff right now im using a flapping hog for trailer but early I used a dolive stick especially on a swim jig that bite is probably over but now more about flappers and early morning topwater it would be good to see you get a monster blow up on the shower blows.
I used a Reaction Innovation Beaver and also tried the Spicy Beaver, which has flaps, and I really liked that combination. For the jig I used a Boss Arky jig that I powered painted in white/pearl myself. I'll check out the OSP jig.
That is a good question. My honest answer is, I will fish this pattern as long as the bigger fish are there to be caught and the green trees remain in the water. As the lake drops the trees will return to dry ground. So, it always pays to go check the current situation to find out if they will bite.
I wanted to tell you directly how much I enjoy your videos and how much I learn.
Wow, thank you!

Thank you and I'm glad you have learned something new. Now get out there and give it a try.
I really enjoy and get a lot out of your videos. Another great one.
Glad you like them!
Great explanation and tip at the end Joe, thanks !
Yeah, that is a tip that took me years to learn and refine. We didn't have RUclips back in the day.
Great video, super helpful and fun to watch. Thx.
Thank you. What part did you like the most?

excellent video Joe
are you fishing these same techniques when the outside temp is 95+?

What lake was that ?
Alamo
My favorite lake.
