      Thank you.
It's the scheme of the plane the reason that I bought it in the first instant, the colours stand out

    Dear Mr Hobbzter,
A very nice result despite what I read in other comments about the metal paint not turning out quite as you wanted.
By the way, your record player is turning too slowly...
    Regards,
    Z

working on this kits predecessor, the 1963 tooled airfix B 17! I hear you as regards the metallic finish, I have used alclad aluminium over a gloss black base coat, its a fairly dull paint, but does look like a worn finish rather than a factory fresh look, I'm about to try a decal straight on without any gloss coat to see what happens, if the test decal goes on ok I can then get the rest of the 6 decals on!

I admit most of the decals went on ok but a few seemed to crack slightly with the mark fit solution I normally use. The thing i would recommend which in hindsight I should have done is the black v on the wings aswell as the green lines near the tail it would be better to paint them. Good luck with your build.

Sorry to hear you had problems with AK Xtreme metal. But it looks good, my metal finishes too have a lot imperfections, but in my opinion life is too short for sanding, re-priming and re-spraying over and over again. I use MRP metallics, they adhere extremely well, don't scratch and will resist decal solutions.

I will bear that in mind , for my next metal paint job, i will try another brand. Does the MRP brand of paints take oil washes well, as the AK extreme metal paint reacted.

@Hobbzter I have used Ammo Mig's Panel Line washes which are enamel based, and they don't damage the paint. I haven’t sprayed any gloss clear for metallic finishes, MRP itself is satin, so I don't see it as necessary. I have some Xtreme metal jars, they are strange that they are enamels, but somehow behave like lacquers, drying fast. If you put an enamel wash without protection, it will stain Xtreme metal, I experienced that. I have also heard that masking tape can leave residue on Xtreme metal.

Yeah i had these problems with this build, I'll look into MRP next time, thanks for the advice

In the middle of tge same kit but struggling to get the yellow bright. Which yellow did you use and what primer? Yours looks great

The yellow paint i used was mig acrylic over the metal finish, just be patient and put thin coats, let them dry and build up the colour. I know some modellers put white or pink (for a warmer look) on before the yellow and get good results

It's title has been corrected now, yes it's 1/72. I normally build 1/48 but this bomber is too big for me to display easily so i went down to 1/72 scale. Sorry but the video itself I can't correct without redoing it
