I get incredible responses from the Hindu shuffle color changing deck. I start by asking if anyone is colorblind. Then I highlight the many colors associated with a standard deck. I ask people to remember all the colors they see, starting with the “backs” of the cards. I then show the one red card about three or four times. And I always use a joker as the one red card. So when I get to the end I say “Oh, we don’t need the joker, and I casually put it back in the card box. I ask them “…and what color are the backs?” BAM! They’re stunned. I hand out the deck to be examined, and then move on with my routine. That Hindu shuffle is a powerful tool! I love it! Thanks for your tips. I particularly like the ‘squaring up the cards’ way to sneak a peat the bottom card.
The best wizard learning content on the interwebs!
Hey Josh! Thank ya for the good word!
That Hindu shuffle “pick up control” is my favorite way to bring the card to the top of the deck.
It’s a good option 🤙
Lots of good information. I have a new found respect for the Hindu shuffle. I'll definitely be using some of that.
I love going back to the Hindu thank you🎉
Well done again! Thank you.
I'm convinced 😁 excellent tutorial Doug, thx 👍
Glad to help
Thanks Doug, this is awesome. I've done the shuffle for years but mostly for just shuffling variety and maybe as a force. But this is excellent, and finally I know what to do with it!
Makes me smile when folks finds the info useful enough to drop a comment! Thank ya!
Your magic/knowledge is excellent as always - But seeing the quality and tech ability in producing this content single handedly is phenomenal
Hey Mike! Thanks for the good word :) I’ve been working hard to get this right!
Thanks for this vid.I recently used the Hindu Shuffle in a trick where the spectator's card choice was randomly selected, then controlled,by the shuffle, to second from the bottom. It allowed me to double lift the bottom two cards(showing last card onky),then using a nice color change to reveal the selection.I love this art form.Spectator was stunned. Thanks for your knowledge and time to post amazing stuff.
2nd from bottom w/hindu eh? I like it! Tnx for the comment!
Bravo! This shuffle has been on my radar lately, what great timing! Bill Abbott has some great work on this in conjunction with a few other short cuts he uses to make the magic happen.
The Hindu shuffle was my some of my first ‘real card work’ thanks to Mark Wilson! Thanks for sharing
Bill has great ideas, I’ll keep an eye out for his Hindu stuff
Thank you Doug. That was great. You just gave me some good moves and tricks to work on.
Love hearing that
Thanks Doug, I appreciate all the work that you put into these videos! They always contain some subtleties that I have never seen. I also like the deck switch video idea :)
Always happy to hear folks are finding the nuggets! I’ll get to work on that deck switch video!
Great content, Doug. Loving these new tutorials. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! ❤
Thank ya Y! Appreciate the positivitY!
thanks for this look at an old gem.
My pleasure
Excellent tips. Appreciate the time you take sharing your skill teaching
My pleasure! Tnx for that positivity!
Thanks again Doug. Going to add that control to my ambitious card.
Best wishes with that!
Thanks, you always add a lot for me to think about!
Glad to hear that!
Great content as always! Thank you. I actually learned the Vernon color changing deck from Aaron Fisher on his RUclips page. The psychology of it is really fascinating to me.
Also, the main reason I am convinced by you that the Hindu shuffle is worthwhile, is because I saw you do it when you performed for out group last year!
Oh yeah, Vernon’s is Great routine!
Dan Harlan has a trick in which multiple cards are selected. He uses the Hindu shuffle to bring them all to the top of the deck, before sandwiching them between the 4 aces in the middle of the deck. It's a very deceptive.
So a faro follows the control?
@@DougConn No, he takes out the aces at the beginning, then places them face up on the deck after all selected cards are apparently lost in the deck. He then causes the aces to vanish one by one into the deck to find the selected cards.
you could probably incorporate a top shot with a double backer for the last one so it seems you change the whole deck in that moment
Facts!
Incredible video Doug!
Tnx GP
thanks for vid, have a good one ♣♥♠♦
thanks for a comment & you too!
Feels great to be early✌️✌️✌️

This is a Masterclass on the Hindu Shuffle.
It’s a good start :)
had no idea you could that much things with a hindu, wow!
but the hindu force, gosh I find this force waaay too lazy, I mean it looks too obvious...
don't get me wrong, when I wasn't into the craft I was fooled by it, but once I knew the deal, that force was dead obvious.
the hindu control in the other hand... hmm, I might play with it for a bit, it looks really fair :)
Just found your channel, I’m slowly learning more closeup magic and card tricks. Do you have any tutorials or routine tips for gimmicked cards such as the stripper deck?
Salutations & yes! ruclips.net/video/qeMULe2GVSM/видео.htmlsi=tdQZZ2-GzVUXeIBt
I’ve covered Sven as well :)
@@DougConn awesome! I’m currently binge watching some of your videos. Lol
Thanks, gef
Hey Gef & Thank YOU
I was doing the Hindu shuffle in a trick and the spectator who was a friend said your doing something tricky. I don't want to see this and turned their attention back to watching tv.
Sounds like a fun hater to me 😅
Thank you so much for cleaning your magic mat before you make a video.
W/My new cam , it’s a must :) but plz forgive me if I slip sometimes :)
Hindu shuffle merchants, unite
