I see I commented here about a year ago. I listen to a lot of amps, and every so often come back here to hear this one again. Martin is really gifted. I think this is one of the best voiced amps I have ever heard. I hope to buy one someday, but every time I get a bit saved up my wife blows it on something unessential like fixing the car...LOL. Great video and sounds. Rock on.
What an amp! Bea is a phenominal player, but this is my first time seeing Martin play guitar. Blown away! What a legend. Absolutely love Kotzen and I might be sold by this video... oh dear bank balance :P
I have to say I only recently ad quired the amplifier and it has truly replaced all of my other amplifiers. I get every sound I want from this. I also have a victory sheriff 44 and a 40 W dutches head however, finding this and used and a guitar center for $1500 looking brand spanking new, not the head the combo lol I know that doesn’t sound like as great a deal in England but in America it’s an amazing deal. I got the extended warranty for five years so even if I smash it with a hammer truly they’ll replace it so I have found the home of kick ass tone between this and the pick ups I got from radio shop man I am back to gig and I feel like I am on fire, I swear I feel like I’m finding sounds out of those six knobs that I haven’t listened to in years and I haven’t felt so good about my Sound in sometime thanks again victory keep up the great work I love all of my amps, but truly this one is the king in my opinion, and better than anything I’ve seen on the market Thank you 14:58
I have to say thank you to Martin for giving us great options in the world of amplification. I am an old Marshall guy but have been seriously looking at a V40D as I think it would be a great compliment to my Marshall's and the one lone Peavey head, all which I have played through for many years. The RK sounds fantastic as well..! Martin, Rabea, thanks for the vid and the great playing from both of you.
Wow, been a Richie fan for so long and I just found out about the RK50 amps and I have to say that Victory Amplifiers, wow! The best sounding amp I've heard in a looong time. I would just take that combo tomorrow to gig! Very nice demo as well, these 2 made a super good job! :D
I love every one of these Victory Amps I have heard demos of. I like the simplicity of this one. I was blown away originally when I heard the Kraken. Very nice tone.
First heard a Cornford amp on a guitarist CD …..blew me away. First heard the sound of a Victory amp here …..same. Hairs on the back of my neck standing up WOW!
Smashed it out of the park yet again! This is a great company. Great ethic, great amps and speakers. Everything you guys come out with sounds devine clean or driven. My V30 has been my main amp for 2 years now. Keep smashing it!
This may just be the best sounding amp I've ever heard, everything is there without anything that shouldn't be there is that makes any sense, and the squeally squeals from Martin were sick, especially with a single coil pickup
I am in love boys. That is a sweet amp and it truly lives up to it's signature. From the first note I thought, "Man that amp really sounds like Richie." You nailed it. Great demo and great playing, candy for my ears.
I have watched many many Bea videos the last couple of years. And every single time I think the same two things. What a great seeming guy. And wholly crap can he play guitar. I really hope for a bright future for him. Cool amp too!
Just bought one of these today at Cosmo Music in Canada. Best amp I've ever played. I find many modern amps are sterile, and characterless. This one sounds like a huge Tweed Deluxe, but once the gain is turned up it sounds like Tweed Bassman and a Friedman Dirty Shirley had a love child. Throw in a gorgeous spring reverb and trem circuit and this amp truly does it all. Anyone wanna buy my JTM45 and my modded Tweed Deluxe? This thing out Tweeds the Tweed and out Marshalls the Marshall.
I actually really want to buy a Victory amp now. Not only do they sound great (so do many other brands), not only do they look great (so do many other amps) but their creator seems like a really nice genuine guy (not so with many other brands). Martin, I salute you and want to give you some of my money in return for one of your beautiful amplifiers.
nice to see an amp builder actually be able to play (quite well) the instruments ( amps are instruments) they build. well done.(this is SO British, BTW!) much love to all. i'm a gigging/recording player, and all i want is a simple, 1-channel amp that i can dial in the exact amount of gain i want, and run it in 4CM with my pedalboard or Helix LT. i don't care what it costs; seems simple, but hard to find/ this may be it! thx!!
Sounds fantastic.....I have one of the Cornford RK100's that we leant to Richie last year....this amp sounds very similar...and is going to be a lot more practical!
This amp sounds great, a lot of sounds to be had in one compact chassis. I have a 22w Sheriff that loves pedals, I'm very happy with it. Victory offers good value and even better sounds.
Awesome! Great to see Rabea as well. Would love to hear Chris Buck play through a Victory - had him pegged as a Victory player ever since I bought my V40. Saw him play in Glasgow earlier this year and he was using a Blackstar and a Fuchs?
Martin can do his all demos as I understood from this video :) I loved all the tones from that beast. I am back in UK now and definitely will hear the amp trying it in one of the shops.
Wow! Amazing amp, and amazing playing Martin!!! If it were possible to add a second channel to the lunchbox chassis, sit it in a Count size combo, and control channel, boost and tremolo with a three button foot switch, you'd have my perfect amp!!! ...it's surely only a small ask! 😉😉😉
Whoa! Maybe my favorite Victory so far! You guys have FAR too many to choose from but THIS is nailin what stuff I play. I need to find a vid where someone rocks a Les Paul thru this
I was thinking "Please don't be $3000...........please, please!" Low and behold it's less then $1200. That's something I can work for without eating Ramen noodles for a year.
WOW... another home run by Victory amps !! Damn now I gotta save up for the Kraken and the RK50 ! I wish I could play thru one before buying it though.... So I can hear it thru several cabs...... no local dealers where I live....
I've been waiting for this video! My local shop ordered a head and a combo so I can check them out and choose. I may go with the combo since I have the V30, V40 and VX in heads. But I do like the portability. 🤔
It's worth mentioning that Richie plays with his fingers, or at least was so on the recent live videos I've seen. Having the right amp has to be a fairly key factor in making that work.
SSVplus I’ll say what I want thanks dad, also to say they are country based classic rock licks but nothing like blues is insane ....blues and classic rock are very much to do with each other stop splitting hairs and get a life 🤗
Ninecore Neil They're absolutely not the same thing. You can argue about relation all day because lots of things are related and yet still not the same thing. Rock rhythm absolutly does not come from blues.
I'm not too sure. The Van Weelden RO and the Bogner Ecstasy pedals are lush for natural amp like distortion. I still run a little dirt on the amp though and use the pedals to colour it. But yes digital modulation and all that is much much better!
They make such great sounding amps. It's a shame they are so expensive here in the states. I love my original peavey 5150 combo, but I could sure surenthe versitility of this sexy little amp
I can't tell if you're both using very thick strings or whether this amp makes stuff sound like thick strings to my ear. Martin really brought it out in this video, Rabea sounds as good as always.
I know it's been a year, but I just spent far too long playing this amp at a shop, every guitar I played had 9's on it, but the amp just sounded so thick and beautiful. I was blown away, really.
Victory amps are my favorite amps and I currently have the VX Kraken 50, BD1, Duchess 40 and the Sheriff 44 along with three 1X12 Victory cabs, my question is since I have the aforementioned amps would there be any reason for me purchasing the Richie Kotzen amp, is there a different flavor ysorts from the amps I already have?
Hey SRH, wow that's a lot of Victory! Thank you for your support, the RK50 is a different kind of amp to the others in your substantial collection. It's single channel and it has been designed to work with Richie's style of playing so an amp that can be clean through to overdrive but the clean up is used from his volume pot. Thanks Victory
I just got this amp(head version)last month and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s my first Victory amp and I’m impressed. My Tele and Les Paul are great through it. Hats off to you guys at Victory and Martin Kidd. Is there any chance of a guitar shop in Chicago becoming a Victory dealer in the near future? Cheers and have a wonderful day from the Windy City.
This may be based on the v40 Dutchess It's also has a bit more gain probably just like a hand-wired Marshall Plexi 50watts since Ritchie is known playing a Plexi with the Reservoir Dogs. Which is cool and surprise he hasn't gone with like full-size head 50-watt Plexi style. Rabea needs to check out Ritchie Kotzen's solo albums, Reservoir Dogs and also the Poison album he played on. Kotzen's style is quite similar to Nuno of Extreme & Paul Gilbert but heavy in bluesy mixed in. Rob Chapman sound does sound a bit like Ritchie's if you put it under a microscope. Rob, would love this amp, perhaps add it to his "Valve mountain of Doom".and a/b with his Red dwarf.
+Dale Weber Hi Dale, thanks for that, hopefully Rob will let us know if he likes it in due course. It’s really nothing like V40 The Duchess, however. It just happens to be small and light in colour! Thanks for watching!
I think so ... especially with Mick making a cameo ... Can't wait for a video because the Fender Highway 1 Tele's were kinda neat... www.tdpri.com/threads/fender-highway-one-texas-telecaster.290965/
didnt know Martin could play like that wow. sick amp
Yeah he kills it and the look on Bea's face when he rips cracked me up, great stuff.
Came here to say just this. Also loved how Rebster can't contain him self when he hears Martin rip it :D
He kinda plays like Kotzen when he shreds. No wonder he gets it.
Yess! Had no idea this dude could shred!
"Turn the gain up?" - "If you like". Man you two are so very British. Very sweet amp!
martin is a proper guitar hero, wow... tasty when needed, aggressive at times too. Mighty fine player you sir!
I'm sold! I see a RK50 in my future.
I'm with you...getting ready to pull the trigger!
Bea is such a great hire for Victory. Exciting times ahead for any product that super talented afro man gets involved in 🤘🏼😄🤘🏼
nick Jenkins, meh!
lordfingers hahah can’t please everyone
My favorite amp in the world ,its like the best of Plexi & Slo 100 yet its something very original and different than any amp out there !
This how you do a demo. Casual, relaxed, great sounds, well shot. No shouting at the audience, no hyperbole. Great!
+Michael McGlynn Thank you Michael. We wanted it to be as laid back as possible. Thanks for watching!
+deanosilkmusic We’re a lucky amp company. Splendid fellows!
Dude...amazing that with the gain dimed on the *bridge pup of a Strat*, it sounded glorious. Not overly bright or ice-picky at all!
Saw Ritchie at the Boerderij in Zoetermeer in August with this beast. Awesome Amp.
Probably the best amp demo video I’ve seen. Really high quality work, gentlemen. You’ve just made yourselves another sale!
Dang! I could listen to Rabea play clean all day long! Beautiful!
Wow, been a Richie fan for so long and I just found out about the RK50 amps and I have to say that Victory Amplifiers, wow! The best sounding amp I've heard in a looong time. I would just take that combo tomorrow to gig! Very nice demo as well, these 2 made a super good job! :D
I love how honest they are.
Good sounding amp like always!
That Kidd can play!
that sounds absolutely brilliant. another hit right on spot by victory, am not even surprised anymore.
Love to see amp builders demoing their own amps. Tasty playing too - Great work, Martin 👌
Turnbull Official You should watch the Landry Amps videos. Bill Landry demos his own amps and plays better than most of the people who will buy them.
I love every one of these Victory Amps I have heard demos of. I like the simplicity of this one. I was blown away originally when I heard the Kraken. Very nice tone.
Rabea always impresses me. What a great player
What a fantastic sounding amp!!! It's just so many great sounds wrapped in one. And god damn Bea's and Martin's playing was killer too
First heard a Cornford amp on a guitarist CD …..blew me away. First heard the sound of a Victory amp here …..same. Hairs on the back of my neck standing up WOW!

Wow!! What a great sounding amp. Definitely my favorite Victory amp. And Martin is such a tasty player with fantastic tone.Well done.
Really nice blend of discussion and demo with a couple of talented gentlemen. Thanks for sharing!
@14:30 "Mick here... Hello!"
I can just imagine him saying it under his breath like a compulsive child correcting someone's grammar
I have watched many many Bea videos the last couple of years. And every single time I think the same two things.
What a great seeming guy.
And wholly crap can he play guitar.
I really hope for a bright future for him. Cool amp too!
*Martin "Humble" Kidd*
Amazing amp, jaw-dropping playing, nice vibe, humility, and so much musicality. Yep, there aren't many words at this point... :)
Woah Martin where did that come from?! Mad respect
+Tom Macfadyen He’s a dark horse. Ha!
+Tom Macfadyen He says thank you, very kind!
No problem
It's so much fun to hear Martin play and then see Rabea enjoying it so much around the 10:00 mark, amazing stuff. This amp sounds brutal!
Sounds fantastic.....I have one of the Cornford RK100's that we leant to Richie last year....this amp sounds very similar...and is going to be a lot more practical!
+Fred Hale A wonderful amp! Hope you still get to rock it as much as possible Fred!
It is indeed. I tend to take the Sheriff out these days.... will be taking both to the studio soon for some recording though :-)
This amp sounds great, a lot of sounds to be had in one compact chassis. I have a 22w Sheriff that loves pedals, I'm very happy with it. Victory offers good value and even better sounds.

Anyone else agree that Martin's first lick was fooking incredible!! ??
That is a nice sounding amp. Well done!! Great demo/review video as well...
Once again a stunning sounding usable gigging amplifier. Well done Team Victory. I'll take a Compact head please?
+Salisbury Simon Of course Simon. Hope you’re loving the 130!
It's absolutely the best amp for what I do, thank you. The flexibility is second to none. And that's just at 30 watts.
+Salisbury Simon Hooray! Thank you kindly.
Martin Kidd’s guitar sounded really good with this amp. Rabea always sounds good through everything but in this video, Martin’s raw tone was superb.
Martin is playing phenomenally. More of that shredding please. 👏🏻
Wow! Amazing amp, and amazing playing Martin!!! If it were possible to add a second channel to the lunchbox chassis, sit it in a Count size combo, and control channel, boost and tremolo with a three button foot switch, you'd have my perfect amp!!! ...it's surely only a small ask! 😉😉😉
Beautiful base tone. Bea learned to Interview quite nice. Well done
Whoa! Maybe my favorite Victory so far! You guys have FAR too many to choose from but THIS is nailin what stuff I play. I need to find a vid where someone rocks a Les Paul thru this
I'll definitely be buying the combo!. What a killer amp and to top it off, I'll plug the v4 kraken into the fx loop.
I am in need of this amp!
I was thinking "Please don't be $3000...........please, please!" Low and behold it's less then $1200. That's something I can work for without eating Ramen noodles for a year.
Right? These things are compact yet ferocious too. Like dynamite in a smaller package, lol.
WOW... another home run by Victory amps !! Damn now I gotta save up for the Kraken and the RK50 ! I wish I could play thru one before buying it though.... So I can hear it thru several cabs...... no local dealers where I live....
Joe Where do you live?
Would love to see a video Richie demoing this one and the RK100 one. I think a full band EQ version of this amp would be great in the 50 watt style.
honestly am satisfy first time over a clean channel sound.. awesome amp and nice to see both being humble and wise .
Wow!!! Great sounding amp!!! Great playing too!!!
Great review and great sounding amp! Not to mention a great musician Kotzen is.
Martin Kidd wow wow wow .. no words.
Martin Kidd is a genius, I have to have a Victory amp! I think what is great is that martin can really play and understands what we want :0)
I've been waiting for this video! My local shop ordered a head and a combo so I can check them out and choose. I may go with the combo since I have the V30, V40 and VX in heads. But I do like the portability. 🤔
+Randy Willcox I see why your local shop ordered those for you. 8?}
Robstafarian they aren't stupid! 😁
I'll never be able to afford any of the stuff they demo... I just love listening to them play.
Bravo! You’ve managed to talk through the whole bit.
Rabea is looking mean & trim.....good for you man! Martin....RK amp sounds fantastic! A very correct sound in a small package.
Should this be looked at as a higher watt Sheriff? Not sure where it falls between the Sheriff and Kraken (or how to choose btw the 3!)
God Martin is modest af
That is a very cool, nice sounding amp. I want one. 🤘🎸
It's worth mentioning that Richie plays with his fingers, or at least was so on the recent live videos I've seen. Having the right amp has to be a fairly key factor in making that work.
+Michael McGlynn Indeed. He switched to fingers at some point. Killer player no matter what.
Around 2005 if I remember correctly. I saw him around a month ago and he played a few songs with a plectrum.
Awesome playing Guy's and great Sounding Amp ❤🎸👌👍👍
I thought I recognised that tele that Martin is playing! figured Mick must be around somewhere, sure enough 14:30 a wild Mick appears :P
Quite the real thing! Thank you.
Crikey, Mate. That’s a PROPER amp. Love me some RK
Martin you are a beast
Beautfuf Sounds this Amps kreat ,❤ love it ❤
martins got blues runs for days !!!!
Those were country based classic rock licks. No, not everything is about the blues.
SSVplus who cares sounded great to me
Then say he sounded great. Don't insert blues where it doesn't fit.
10:55 Wow what a sound !
Is it weird that I think the digital reverb sounds better?
codecow Digital effects are just better these days, Now od's and amps that's a different story...
I'm not too sure. The Van Weelden RO and the Bogner Ecstasy pedals are lush for natural amp like distortion. I still run a little dirt on the amp though and use the pedals to colour it. But yes digital modulation and all that is much much better!
It sounds very good in this demo, but in a room the spring reverb wins by a long shot.
I agree with you.
They make such great sounding amps. It's a shame they are so expensive here in the states. I love my original peavey 5150 combo, but I could sure surenthe versitility of this sexy little amp
Richie uses a higher output Tele bridge pickup, so I suspect that he is going to get more gain out of the amp at a lower gain setting.
Martin is an awesome player
When's the Martin Kidd solo album coming out
Is the speaker damping just a 220K resistor and like a 4nF cap in series with the negative feedback resistor?
Martin's sick! Great playing and lovely tone haha =)
I wish every Victory came with a voucher for a hug from Martin Kidd!
Sounds great
Rabea Massaad's reaction is great!
Daaaaaamn, Martin can PLAY!
please guys whats the name of the effect applied at 24:00
daMyahStar it’s the inbuilt Tremolo which you see at 2:37
Sounds fab.
I didn't realise Martin was such a tasty player!!
Fantastic, thanks!
Isn't that the tele that Mick Taylor plays on TPS?
Anyone have this amp? The RK100 is out now...but the RK50 sounds amazing from this video.
I'm guessing later on there will be a RK100 again like Cornford had. This amp sounds great.
CME has this head in stock, played it yesterday and almost grabbed it
@@VapnFagan I know CME became a Victory dealer back in august. Get the RK50 you will not be disappointed.

I think you mean the Winery Dogs?
Is that the tele Mick was using on TPS yesterday??? Seriously nice axe!
I think so ... especially with Mick making a cameo ... Can't wait for a video because the Fender Highway 1 Tele's were kinda neat...
www.tdpri.com/threads/fender-highway-one-texas-telecaster.290965/
+sam newton It was indeed Sam. Mick shoots our videos and sometimes brings his guitars!
+Victory Amplifiers I suspected as much when I saw that DGT. Thanks again for the inspiration, Martin.
Still looking good brother
