Is the day trip time was sufficient from shinjuku ? And coming back ?
yes. it is doable day trip. but better to rake earliest express train. you will arrive there around 11am. then you will spend time for about 4 to 5 hours.

Hello, how much did the taxi from Hakuba to Iwatake gondola cost?
I remember it was around 2k to 2.5k yen for taxi.

About 3000 yen if I remember. There’s bus available from station to gondola. You may need to check on their website for hakuba local buses.
