Revision Notes: Relation: A Relation is a table with rows and columns It is based on mathematical concept of relation which is represented physically as table. It is used for data storage and processing. Table = Relation Column Header/Fields = Attributes Column Values = Domains Row = Tuple Table definition =Schema of relation Degree of relation = No. of attributes present = No. of columns Cardinality of relation = No. of tuples present = No. of rows Properties: 1. Table has unique name. 2. Each cell/domain should contain only value. 3. Each attribute/column should have unique name. 4. Each tuple should be distinct(completely) 5. Order of attributes has no significance. 6. Order of tuples has no significance. Thank You.
cardinality refers to the uniqueness of data values contained in a column. High cardinality means that the column contains a large percentage of totally unique values. Low cardinality means that the column contains a lot of “repeats” in its data range
Heyy bruhh ...cardinality means ..the arrangements of one sets entity with its relationship model...it may be one to one ..many to one...or more...it sometime it represent a uniqueness..but not...alwayss...
Mam explain about various data models exists for database? What is structured and semi structured datebase? What is data modeling and explain different types of data modeling? Plz explain above 3 questions
@@anashashmi5724 please check the explanation. For example, if column gender has male and female as values. Then it’s cardinality is 2 though it may have 100+ rows
is there any way to get into touch with you madam? i have a query regarding a competitive exam of IT in my state. need some guidance from you.. reply fast asap... thank you
using the basic language or informal terms, the order of rows and columns has no significance or doesn't matter its all up to you creating the table AKA relation

Are you confirm that you right ???

Well explained! I would like to point out one mistake. Cardinality is not the no of rows in a table, it is the no of distinct values in a column.
Bakwaas admi ho tm
no, it's number of rows in table

@@anashashmi5724 please check the explanation. For example, if column gender has male and female as values. Then it’s cardinality is 2 though it may have 100+ rows
