Theres a whole lot of great places in galveston, try the black pearl oyster bar. The locals like to keep the best beaches and fishing spots a secret so that tourism and inconsiderate people dont ruin them. Sadly theres a bad problem with litter all around galveston. Mainly in rural areas caused by people who dont live near by, or who dont care about the mess or damage to the environment. Alot of offroad groups from houston and galveston go out to clean up litter from beaches and offroad trails but no matter how many trailer full loads of trash they pull out there is always more the next time. Sadly the offroad trails will probably be closed because of the litter regardless of the fact that the offroader groups are the people going out to clean up others mess. I like to offroad and every time im out i pick up a lot of trash. Its sad how lazy and inconsiderate many people have become and its ruining many innocent peoples freedom
