You could make the traditional garlic sauce or just add garlic to mayo - Add pickles to the wrap. It really elevates the flavor and cuts down on some of the grease from the thick sauce - If possible, add fries! In my opinion it's what really separates shawarma from others

I think "Nigerian" is missing from the title of the video. Nigerian sharwama tastes completely different from the original Arab one. Hence no pickles or garlic. And the choice of seasoning for the meat. To be honest we shouldn't even call it sharwama. But it does taste really good. @@Pavme

I spent 5 years in middle east(mostly Jordan) and the key ingredients were pickles, French fries, sliced chicken taken from that rolling barbecue stand thing (idk the exact name) & garlic mayonnaise sauce. sometimes I used to ask add some pickled radish too when I want a different taste. They always give separate French fries box & a can of pepsi/coke/sprite etc. with it. Man I miss middle east since I moved to Europe. Never got home sickness in Arab community. Asians / Middle Easterns best hospitality people

With Lebanese bread we normally open it to two . Colored side of the bread on bottom and light side on top. Roll the first bread on top as like a guide and close one end or you can do both then go over it tighter with the bottom layer . That’s traditional way to roll shawarma wraps or any kind of wrap in Lebanon.

@DanielOchuko so we made this today and I can honestly say it was DELICIOUS! Thank you for taking the time to write out the recipe as I can now wholeheartedly say your measurements are trustworthy lol. The only thing we did differently was to soften the meat with baking soda first before rinsing it off and seasoning. The suya inspired sauce is a whole game changer. Well done!
