On this May 14,2024, the 76th anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel, I declare Roger Williams 1987 rendition of Ernest Gold's masterpiece, the GOAT! he plays it like Bolero, he starts out slow, teasing the patience of the listerner ,and progressively builds to a crescendo. Bravo, Bravissimo, Estupendo, Magnifico, Incredible!
I absolutely love this performance. I have seen so many of Roger Williams performances, but I have to say, this is his best full piece, even better than his big 1955 Number 1 hit "Autumn Leaves." The look Roger Williams gives after his slow beginning of Exodus says it all. It's like he's saying " wait til you hear this", then the piano erupts like a volcano and the notes become sheer power. Roger Williams gift is on full display with this performance and we have been so blessed to have the privilege to see such a great pianist and man! RIP Roger Williams, I am sure you are playing for God in Heaven.
@@RogerWilliamsMusic I also agree that radio is not what it used to be--or should be. I can remember, as a kid, the music of Mr. Williams being much more ubiquitous on the public air waves. My favorite Roger Williams piece is probably the overture "More than a Miracle." Very glad to have found "Roger Williams Music" on RUclips. 😊
Bravo to you dear maestro - Accuracy along does not create good music, you have to give your heart and soul in to it - and Roger Williams one of the very few who truly has the gift.
He didn't. Ernest Gold wrote the instrumental for theme to the movie "Exdous". Pat Boone later wrote lyrics for it, but initially was just instrumental
I love this song! I played it on the piano since I was 8 years old!!! almost 60 years!!!! No other song could compare!!! The vidio?? I a bit confused about how his hands can move that fast??? Song great, vidio, less than disireable!!!!
Gorgeous piece. He loves a few million arpeggios and variations. I don’t believe one of songs has been the same. That’s okay. Inconsistently gorgeous. 😉

I don't understand why there are so few comments here, such an amazing performance, you can watch and listen endlessly
We saw him in 2005 at the Orpheum Theater in Omaha. Unforgetable experience for sure. He has to have been one of the greatest pianists ever...
Thank you so much for sharing!

Yes, his hands move fast! Take a look at Roger's other videos of Bumblebee or I Got Rhythm, and you will see his hands move remarkably fast.
