Regarding sidetone, for my use, nothing random about it's occurrence at all. When I start on my laptop, none, switch to using the headphones with my TV, still fine. Go back o the laptop, now its on and only removing them as a Bluetooth device and then re-pairing will return me to the bliss of not hearing a squirrel scratch itself within 200 yards. The reason I found your review in fact was as part of my search for an explanation as to what was going on. Interestingly, the headphones can appear in Windows under one of three different descriptions, Headphones Audio, Headset Handsfree or Headset (or maybe Headphones) with mic., depending on the order of connections or who the heck knows why. Thank you very much for giving me the information to allow me try to make piece with this situation. Kicking myself for not doing my usual research and getting the 520 model. There is a lot to like about the 510's, but comparing them to your review of the 520's, looks like I missed out on a lot.
Great review man! :) Do you recommend these headphones for going to the gym or running? Is the tightness of the headphones good enough for staying on your head and not fall off?
They should be fine for running and most weight training. However I recommend checking out the new version of these headphones that Sony just released (520). Big improvements at the same price, review is here ruclips.net/video/5FAxehAU23s/видео.html
Worse fitting, most uncomfortable headphones I ever had. Way too loose, they slide around with head movement and will actually fall off if I bend over. No padding on headband is irritating. Sound is decent, and connecting to devices is good. Charge lasts long. Not recommended

Very complete! Thanks man.
How do the Soundcore Anker q30 compare to this? More in terms of size and comfort?
The q30s are much better
bought them, they suck, very bad even for the low price
