  • In this video, "Marrakech Riad Tour - Morocco 2019", I will explain why you should stay in one of the gorgeous and affordable Riads - and not in a luxury hotel.
If you're traveling to Marrakech, Morocco, I highly recommend staying in a Riad - which are old, traditional homes converted into guesthouses - to get the full-on cultural experience. We stayed in Riad Bindoo in Marrakesh (highly recommended), but also had one night in the 2Ciels Boutique Hotel.

My name is Jan and I travel with my girlfriend Carla. I believe traveling and exploring new places is the key to a happy life. I also believe most of us are suffering from travel deficiency as we want to travel more than we actually do due to a lack of information and our busy everyday lives. It is time to stop dreaming and take back control!
I created this channel to build an open travel community which enables people to spend less time researching and more time traveling by having access to the right information more quickly.
In 2019, I challenged myself to prove that it is possible to travel frequently (12 destinations in 12 months) despite having a busy life - no more excuses!
Join me on my journey and let’s cure travel deficiency together - one trip at a time.

Great tips! We found both the old Medina and the modern Gueliz very different and also very fun to explore! Glad you enjoyed your time. Looking forward to the next one. Come by and say hi sometime! Safe travels.

@@curetraveldeficiency2398 hey! We've been travel off and on for the last 6 years and started building our van last May. Been on the go for the last 3 months full time. We loved the Balkans, though it's hard to choose. Croatia, Montenegro and Macedonia, plus mainland Greece, not enough people are visiting these amazing and beautiful places!!!

That sounds great - we have not yet been to that area of the world. We definitely need to check it out. Many thanks for the tips and all the best for your exciting journey!

Very nice information about the Riads and hotel. I am thinking of going to Marrakech in April and I have heard that I can't book a room because my girlfriend is Moroccan. I am an American from Texas and I will meet her in Agadir. Booking a room for us would be a huge problem. May have to visit Spain or Portugal if we want to spend time together.

@@johnbaptist7375 Unmarried couples tend to have sex when they are together in a hotel. It's against their religion, I presumed. I have heard that married couples from other countries that have different last names must produce a marriage certificate in Morocco in order to get a room.

    What about hostels in Marrakech

    • @curetraveldeficiency2398

Hi there! When I researched our options, I came across at least one hostel which looked amazing in the pictures. However, the hotels and Riads in Marrakech were so competitively priced that we thought this was our chance to experience luxury at a very reasonable price and we went for it. Nevertheless, everyone is different and has a different budget, so I am sure you’ll find a great hostel within your budget. Since we did not stay at one, I can’t recommend any to you unfortunately! I hope you will have an amazing trip and let us know where you stayed in the end!

Norm Alex this hostel in Marrakech - which is supposed to be one of the Rodamon chain of hostels - looks very nice and it's supposed to be only a couple of years old. You can choose to get your own room or you can choose to share a room with other guests. They also have some dorm rooms set aside for women only.
And if you're with a group of other people you can also choose to share a private room as a group that other guests won't be able to share with your group:

@@curetraveldeficiency2398 yeah definitely, i think if a person get to travel to a VERY different country with rich history and traditions, he should try and explorer the everything there, the riad is definitely an amazing experience that's should tourist try its waay better than hotels its cool, and feels just like home 😊.
